I got bored and there is the money issue. I have been coasting in SL for a while now on prior land sales and haven't brought money in world in a long time. You cannot "coast" in WoW, and so it costs too much for me to add it to my entertainment.

Same reasons I quit, though it took me about two months to really get sick of it. My god, how anyone can play that game for months, years, is beyond me.

Yeah, there is the pesky 15$ dollars a month fee. I can justify the fee since I rarely go out of my home for entertainment.:p

It does get boring, especially if you play it a lot at first. I go through phases. Some weeks I play a lot, other not at all. This is one of those not at all weeks.

In other news, I have been working on a wiki of Second Life locations (well, Second Life stuff; it is only locations at the moment though I've been thinking of adding my vast collection of music acts to it). It is very bare-bones, but I was somewhat bored and wanted a collection of this type of thing somewhere. If anyone is interested: http://exploringvirtualworlds.wikidot.com/

/me just fainted while reading through your new site. What a great idea, Soji. Thank you soooo much. :)

/me drools

Right here folks, is quite possibly the BEST ice cream on the planet.

http://graeters.com/sub.aspx?

HUGE chunks of chocolate...creamy ice cream, made in a french kettle. It's...almost...better than sex.
The first thing I saw "is now in DENVER"

Yay!!

Yes, I did notice it catered to the casual player quite a bit. But, the grinding was just too much. Questing was fairly interesting, but only so far. I never got to level 30 in anything. :)

Little story. One of the last times I went to Ohio, I decided to buy Graeters and bring it home with me in dry ice.

So I buy it, they throw it into a styrofoam shipping container. We hurry to the airport, and they tell me at the counter that I have to remove the dry ice...can't take it on the plane. I go over to a nearby bar, they dump the dry ice for me, load it up with regular ice, and I carry the thing back over to security. Security inspects it, seals it up, and says go on through. Goody!

Time to board the plane and me and my little container make our way down the ramp and suddenly I hear "WHOA! You there! YOU! You are NOT taking that dry ice on MY airplane!!" I patiently explain the above paragraph and she's literally screaming at me - "NO! You are NOT taking that dry ice on the plane!"

This guy steps up, walks over to her, says something to her and she starts mumbling, "fine, ya'll can take it, but it has to go in cargo" (which at this point, regular ice, yeah, I'll take the cold of the cargo hold). I turned the guy and said "what in the world did you say to convince her??" He pulls out a badge and says "I work for the airline. I told her to quit being a twit, that security had already cleared you."

I would have handed him a pint - if it weren't already sealed, and in danger of melting...oh, and $7 a pint ;)

From now on...I just eat it there.

Me: XP Pro, Mozilla Firefox

No size errors, but a bunch of those stupid network errors -- although they have cleared a lot yesterday and today.

I get them at the office too - and I don't use the AOL interface here

Working off an XP here, I believe, and IE, don't know what version.
