Ya know ladies, I just don't see Mac as a mushroom souffle, too light and airy... I'll give you the mushrooms though, definitely earthy. Mushroom risotto maybe, smooth and rich on the tongue, with the earthiness of mushrooms and the tang of the Asiago, but substantial and satisfying. Mushroom risotto? YUM...but I was thinking more along the lines of Bœuf Bourguignon, a country dish: dark, earthy, tangy...may take a long time to "prepare", but well worth the time and effort. Red wine, garlic, onions, carrots, bouquet garni, and mushrooms...yum. |
