From: Elora Lunasea Oh I can pay myself for this, if I choose to. I do payroll here hehe. We get paid for holidays, when we take them off. Since I came in, I can choose either an extra vacation day, or a different floating holiday off. It's just the point that nobody saw fit to call me to let me know the office was closed this time. They are pains in the asses, but not completely unreasonable.
Oh and practically nobody pays double time anymore unless you're a major corporation, or even time and a half. Sadly, I think that concept is long gone, in a lot of areas. It's long gone and I doubt, unless you are in a union, will ever be seen again. In todays economy, if you aren't willing to do it, there are hundreds if not thousands of people out there willing to. Right now I am happy and lucky to have a job. Just waiting for me to win the lottery... then I can quit and play SL all day long lol |

Pretty! Here is one after a successful Quest in Chakryn Forest this weekend (Chakryn is listed in the Showcase- worth the visit much to see, still haven't seen it all):  We helped the Water Elemental to purify the poisoned waters of the land...

Well, I actually have the day off for once, so I'm spending it doing exciting, exotic wonderful things. Have to make the best use of my free time! First, I'm going to clean my truck out. It's gotten to be a mess. Then, dishes and vacuum and maybe a load of laundry. Oh, and a haircut.
