Okay I totally adore the pancake beret. Let us know when you get the whole breakfast ensemble out!

I wonder if it's the kind you find in a second hand store?

Mari if you know who I need to talk to get those ferry scripts I am still in need :)

Well, it's a Mole who is doing 'em, an for Linden Lab. Not sure if they'll be public at all. :-/

From: Elora Lunasea
@ Mari - Lots of fun last night at the "Fuego" lol and thanks for setting off the fireworks! I can't believe we spent so much time there dancing around that fire.

I can! I've done a few long stints at th' drum circle in Livingtree before. Let alone drummin' at Burnin' Life! :-)

I would SO love to be able to 'go ultra' sometimes, but my poor old machine goes into meltdown after all but a few seconds!

Aww. :-(

It's not someting I can do f'r too long where it's crowded (I tried once to get a piccie showing both the Nova Albion an Ahern infohubs in one shot. What a task *that* was f'r my poor computer!), but I can usually manage it in uncrowded places. I love to do it in new mainland, an places like the middle of the Blake Sea, now that there is a Blake Sea. :-)

From: Amaranthim Talon
Sounds like great fun Mari - thanks for sharing the great pix.

Yer totally welcome! I wish the forums did't have a limit on the number of piccies I could put in one post sometimes, though. I s'pose it does help in cace of spammers or others though.

Hey Mari,
Have you read "Memoirs of a Geisha?" It might be tough reading for a 5-year old but there are some cool stories about how the heroine learned to become a geisha, even at a very young age. (Imagine playing the zither till your fingers bleed when you're 7 years old!)

Well, I am six-and-a-half, maybe it won't be too bad. I should give it a read. :-D

I think Mari lives her SL to the fullest and I admire her for it :-)

@Mari - Fun fun fun. I love reading about your weekends. Thanks!

Yer so welcome!

OK, Mari, you've finally done it with the "Mari's Weekend Update." I'm speechless.

(ok, not for long)

/me bows down before Mari. "We are not worthy...we are not worthy..."

Your SL weekend sounds amazing, and the pics are fabulous (and yay!!! I'm actually in one of Mari's pics *beams*), as always.

Thank you so much for showing us the joys and delights AND incredible range of possibilities to discovered in Second Life. :)

Yer so welcome. In some ways, I do hope to show some of the possibilities (some days I swear I should be a "tour guide" f'r SL), and without sounds to egotisical an all, I always am taken back a bit when people talk about there bein' nuttin to do" in SL. There's so so much to do. More'n I hardly ever have time f'r, I'll tell ya that! An ya, some of that comes from knowin a lotta people an stuff -- but heck, one of my more fun things was jes sittin out inna middle of nowhere fishin'

Worthy? Heck ya, you are. Yer FUEGO. :-D

Is that a Prince allusion?

In RL news Blossom Dearie passed away on Saturday. She taught a generation how to unpack adjectives and all about figure eights, amongst others.

I wanted to share a giggle with you guys- don't mean to detract from the acknowledging of the Blossom Dearie's death. However, here is the link for a smile:

Morning everyone!

@ Oryx - Memoirs of a Geisha is one of my favorite books! Really did a great job of detailing what it's like to be taken as a young girl and raised up in that lifestyle.

@ Amara - Fabulous pix!

@ Honeybear - You were great at the silk fashion show Saturday. It was quite enjoyable and I realized I'd never been to a fashion show in SL before, for some reason I thought I had been. I thought you had some of the best poses of all of the girls. Wish my computer had cooperated so I could have added to the photos, but Ghosty did a great job with his.

@ Mari - Lots of fun last night at the "Fuego" lol and thanks for setting off the fireworks! I can't believe we spent so much time there dancing around that fire.

As for all else, my new motto is "I don't know what you're all talking about so here's a picture of me with a pancake on my head" (thanks to Ghosty, who made me this tres chic hat and if my video card were better, the photo would show it off better but this isn't too bad):

Ann would probably wear that hat too. :) very cute. i think the softness of the pic is pretty.

Thanks 3. I wonder if evoking the name of Ann and then saying we'd wear the same item will raise her from the dead, erm I mean "Plurk" :p

So, I was doing some cleanup on my computer, when I found the very first photo of myself I ever took in SL; on OI. It's...bad.

Behold my blatant, shameless noobage!
