Hell, that is one man I would probably still hop into bed with - even at his current age he is so distinguished looking.

Not sure about bed, really would have to get to know him first :) hehe - but yeah- even now he is damn fine.

Well heck, this took all of the fantasy out of it. I am sure others here were like me and fantasizing it was some kind of strange but totally hot, geek girl/lesbian binary sex thingy :(

/me skips past all the binary...

Good morning all! Pretty terrific weekend, with winning Ghosty's auction, getting my new stores set up (yep, two), and revamping the blog, adding a forum, giving it it's own domain...whew

(new address is virtualfreebiesblog.com)

Hope everyone had a great one!

hmmm think I'm gonna have to find the channel that plays the cycling again...haven't watched it in a while, and I used to enjoy it. I'm glad Lance is back, definitely be good to see how he goes on.

I'm heading for bed...night folks!

Versus pretty much is a shadow of what it was for a couple of years. For video, get a wide screen for your PC and go to www.cyclingfans.com . And to stay up on everything, including great shots of pro bikes and gear, go to www.cyclingnews.com . You can find the cycling news guys on a lot of the bike race news groups, off and on, even during the heavy Euro season period.

Edited on: Can't believe I left off the best of the lot, although it is a subscription service to get it live, but for anyone that wants cycling all year round at the pro level, www.cycling.tv is the place to go. $ 60 is the cost of one tire for a year of live or near live video.

That's what I used. I am NOT that smart as to be able to speak "binary". I failed algebra more times than I care to admit and let us not even discuss geometry or anything more lofty.

Maybe 3Ring and Ghosty are but, not this girl. And who knows, perhaps they had us fooled all along too :p

Anyway we did go to celebrate Chinese New Year yesterday. Got there at the tail end of Dim Sum time. Actually it had ended (we didn't realize) but they still had some around and we grabbed a bunch of whatever was left. Had many various things including some fried turtle :D Finished it up by ordering from the regular menu; Salt & Pepper Lobster which was amazing. Needless to say we had a lot of leftovers lol. Our eyes were WAY bigger than our stomachs.

I used to cut Math classes and go to the Library to read History books.

When I got to high school, they put me in "advanced algebra" based on all other things combined.

Now, at that time they had a pilot program where you just were given a tape recorder, and a book and were then allowed to work at your own pace.

Needless to say, I had NO pace. I just sat there with the lessons blaring in my head, half asleep. It was like a foreign language to me (BTW, languages? Excellent. 4 years Spanish, 1 year French too, no problem lol).

Finally I think I voiced my trepidation with the program and got moved to a "normal" algebra class, with a great teacher who was very patient and was able to coax the knowledge out of me.

After that, each enusing year was just worse and worse. The only reason I passed Geometry was because I had a teensy cheatsheet for the final. I'd NEVER used one before, was terrified. Half the class was using them too :o

Interestingly, I also got put into advanced chemistry sophmore year, and had the same teacher there who was my regular algebra teacher in freshman year. The first day of class he said to me "what on earth are you doing in this class?" He knew I wasn't going to be able to make it there as far as the math aspect was concerned and just took me to the back of the class and would BS with me while others were doing their work, until he was able to manage to move me into General Chemistry.

Fantastic teacher, for being that aware. Loved him.

When I was in the 6th grade my scores dropped off sharply. It was determined I was bored, and in mid year I was bumped up to the 7th grade. Everything rebounded except Math. It never got beyond just passing. In High School, I had to repeat Algebra AND Geometry  and took the minimum required Science. On the other hand, I practically stalked a History teacher. I took every class of his I could, he was that good.

My daughter is 7 years older than my son. When she was a junior in high school and taking Advanced Placement History, she had to go to him to get help with it. He was so completely addicted to the History Channel and reading books on history.

I never had too much trouble with math until I hit Differential Equations and Electromagnetic Theory. I had to try a couple of times to get the hang of those classes. :o

The only problem with the History Channel is that it, with a couple of other cable channels, is developing a Cult of the Leonard Nimoy, where significance is seen by asking two or three questions every fifteen minutes and never answering them, exactly.

What did the cave drawers actually know? Does this mean the end of the world as we know it? And why DID they use a lot of charcoal on stone? Back after this announcement...

Yay! Reference recognized!

From: someone

Owen: Do you speak Bocce?
C3PO: Of course I can, sir. It's like a second language to me.
Owen: Yeah, alright. Shut up
...what I really need is a droid that understands the binary language of moisture vaporators
C3PO: Vaporators? Sir, my first job was programming binary load lifters, very similar to your vaporators in most respects...

All that binary talk brought it out of me. :)

And Elora....yup...very very funny video!

Well since we are 'fessing up - I graduated top 10% of my class... with a D in math :( I found ancient history and not so ancient just not modern to be fascinating- love languages and literature. If it wasn't for calculators i wd have a hard time with 2 x 2. Imagine the twists of fate that landed me in an accounting office! Add now also a need for geometry in SL building!! I have "always been dependent on the kindness of strangers" - Fortunately I have made great friends with mathematically geared individuals :D.
