Morning all:) I bought my son a new computer for Christmas and um got myself one too.:o Excellent graphic card, 4 gb ram fast processor. I can't wait to try it with SL. I might actually enjoy logging in again.

Elora, if you do start playing WOW, make a character on my server so we can kill things together.:p

Did something happen in New England this weekend? If you are talking about snow,we didn't get any where I am. And Vamp is only about 15-20 minutes from me. If you are talking about something else, I am clueless.

I've been baking. Here's some for the threadies :)

Oh Claire, my mom, born and raised in Leicester, used to make little mince pies every year. I wonder if I can get up the energy to make some with vegetarian mincemeat...They look so good. There are already 3 British style (well vegetarian) Christmas Puddings waiting in our fridge that my husband made a few weeks ago.

Edited to clarify: My husband made the puddings. He did not made the refrigerator. That was a poorly constructed sentence.

Hey Mo, I'd be careful if I were you. Some creepy dude seems to be stalking you. He keeps turning up in all of your pictures.

Yes, you know, Brenda, I HAVE noticed some guy around...throwing snowballs at me...planning horseback riding expeditions and picnics...tripping the light fantastic...holding doors open for me...I think I'll let him keep an eye on me some more. :)

This is one of those breakfasts that just does NOT do it for me. It's all over the place, no focus. Like the chef went haywire; wanted to use up every ingredient in his kitchen. Really weird. Why zucchini bread AND raspberry coffeecake? Why poached pears? One lonely tomato? What's the purpose? And then topping it with an orchid is gilding the lily. What a freaking mess.

/steps off her cooking soapbox.

Sorry, I'm just watching too much Top Chef these days :o
That's kind of what I thought. But then I thought, if I went to a pot luck breakfast with my friends and all this stuff was there (and it was vegetarian) I'd take some of everything and thoroughly enjoy it. Now I know what the poached pear IS I think I might like it with the brie omelette.

The jerboa...rapid fire posting...

But yesterday I posted 2 limericks, with hints of a third. It may now be posted...without further ado...I present to you... "Limerick 3", entitled: "For Maureen"

Maureen changes looks on the spot
Sometimes kitty, and sometimes she's not
But regardless of form
Fun and style is the norm
Now the heart of Jerboa she's caught.

ok...shutting up now....

/me smiles warmly.

Good morning all...I'm grumpy. 2.5 hours to drive to work today because of the freaking ice storm that came through yesterday, and my boss is freaking out because I'm going to be off work for 10 days after Christmas, so she's dumping on me like I'll never be back (hm, maybe she knows something I don't!).

Anyway, sign me.

Cold and miserable in Dallas.

*hugs*

Awww...Honey. Grrr..that's an awful commute! I think I may have thrown in the towel on that one. But I know what you mean about the pre-holiday work craze...

Congrats on the new computer!

Yes, I was talking about snow. I could not recall how far west the snow/ice blast occurred.

OMG I so want to destroy things with you

I might have to break down and get myself a PC. I can't see waiting until my "proceedings" (gentle word, huh?) are all done with to get a new computer - geez that could be another whole year for all I know. I'm sure this time of year I could get a good deal, with little financing, or something :p

What server are you on? Perhaps you could meet up with G at least. For some reason he keeps getting thrown onto some European server, can't figure out why. He's still on his trial; I may buy him the software for a holiday giftie siince it seems he's having so much fun with it (even though neither of us celebrate Xmas).

better get to the Wren Mall one - you're missing out on GOOD home decor stuff. ;)

Eek! I missed the memo. This why I rely on all you wonderful threadies :) Although my late night hunts may have to be curtailed since I got chastised for not being in my cage at a decent hour last night :P

:( the people at college don't like mince pies....they ate all the flapjack and left the pies...

Of course, that means more for me :D

Kaimi - most of my baking is vegetarian anyway, my mum(part-time vegetarian, occasional vegan) gets fussy bout stuff like that when she's on one of her vegetarian kicks.

Pep - I hope your daughter's play goes well :)

Don't do the QRI hunt unless you enjoy needlessly complex and tedious activities.

1) Find scripted boxes with passwords and click.
2) Notice that notecards aren't numbered, so number them so you'll know which box they correspond to when you get where you're going.
3) Locate stall with teleport column.
4) Teleport to main store of vendor (ie, different sim/region).
5) Notice that roughly half the teleports don't take you to the right place.
6) Search vendor's main store and teleport again.
7) Find QRI box hidden somewhere in the store once you finally get there.
8) Tell box the number and password.
9) Get prize you probably won't keep.
10) Teleport back to QRI (hope you took a LM!).
11) Find another stall with a teleport column.
12) Rinse and repeat x30.

I found all but one or two of the scripted boxes, went to maybe half of the main stores then, with the exception of two prizes, deleted everything. It was just irritating.

It is a cute build if you just want to shop though.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.
