Nah, it's fairly mellow. She did manage to mention both WoW and kool-aid though.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Sorry for the pain of missing ur lovely llama :( - hope it will work out for today. Good luck to him on his showing - I cannot make it but wd love an LM for later reference.

Thanks Amara. By now you probably have the notice he sent out with the landmark. Pop in if you haven't seen his work already. It's definately not like anything you've seen before, I"m quite sure.

As for me - my computer issues continued to get worse and I couldn't make the gallery opening boohoo. I was more or less a mist the whole day, or fighting rezzing issues.

We're going to work on the computer tomorrow and see if we can't do something to get it going via phone.

If not, he'll be here next weekend for good anyway and I'm sure will be able to figure it out then.

And if that doesn't work? I'm going to go to my kitchen window, open it up, climb out to the fire escape and toss it onto the driveway below and watch it smash into tiny glittering pieces of plastic, metal and wire :p

Heh, it's a Honda Rebel; I'm sure there's one in SL somewhere.

Thanks Mo!

Today I finally got both the GPS & PDA Phone they were supposed to send me so I can do my job. I ran up my minutes using my cell phone.

For all the stuff I know of computers, these two things took some getting used to.

They sent a brand spanking new Sprint Mogul phone. I gotta memorize the phone number but I really suck at remembering those things. It connects to the Internet.... but its locked to the company website where we check our calls & the parts we need. At least I can text message my fiancee while she's in Seattle.

I know if I got another phone.... there's no way I'd afford one of these with everything activated. I looked on Sprint's website. $550 for a PDA Phone??? Toss in prolly $100 or more each month. GEEZ!!! I don't even LIKE cell phones!!!! Nothings more annoying than talking to someone or just hearing in public those really frickin' annoying ringtones!!!!

I noticed the GPS is not totally accurate. It was about 6 houses away for what it thinks my home address is. It talks & kept telling me I wasnt there yet.

I kept yelling back at it. :D

Oh yea, I know its a "company" phone, so I watch what I text back & forth. I gotta ask on Monday if there's any limits on usage (other than the internet, which makes sense). Nice phone tho---- if you got the $$$ for one.

Sounds like a cool phone, Tod, especially once you get the hang of it. :p

I had a great time at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. HUGE crowd there today. I suspect that's because, in addition to the people who had always intended to come this weekend, we had all the people there who had planned to attend last weekend, but the weather was so awful, they postponed their trip 'til this weekend. And then this weekend's weather is unbelievably lovely: sunny, little breeze, high was about 71. Perfect for wandering abount the sim, er, the um, grounds, of the festival. :p

And every person that I saw dressed in medieval or renaissance fare, I wondered...hey...are you in SL? Do I know your avatar??? :D

By the way, Ghosty's three new photos are amazing. Congrats, Ghosty. :) Sorry you were having problems, Elora. :(

OK...headed to bed now. Sweet dreams, threadies!

Guess what! It rained here! For maybe 10 minutes real rain. That was fun.

@Tod - Your new toy sounds like fun, hope you get it all figured out.

@Mo - Glad you had a good time. I've always thought it would be fun to go to one of those things.

Good night.

Oh wow! Congratulations Oryx! In bizarre coincidence No.743, I nearly bought that EXACT model of motorcycle three years ago with my well-earned money (back when I had the spare cash knocking around), although I would have gone with the silver myself. Anyway, my pleasure, and no thanks needed, I'm sure I know what you will think of every time you take it for a ride! :D

Just remember though, it's two wheels this time, and you don't have half a ton of steel in front of you, so I suggest you don't put more than half a bottle of scotch in the tank when the road is wet!

Kaimi, if you need rain I've got a whole lakeful here (or so it seems) so I've got plenty to spare. I'll send some over.

Seriously, the rain woke me up twice last night and hasn't stopped coming down steadily ever since. Forecasts are for 4" of rain today. Luckily, I don't live in a flood warning area, but whole swathes of southern England are under flood alert.

One nice sight, though: my lawn turned into a bird feasting ground this morning. I had six blackbirds all digging away, turning up the worms and grubs that were brought to the surface by the rain. I stood by the back door with my mug of tea this morning, watching them for ages :)

CX, thanks for the offer but I already did diesel Mercedes. Never again. Took ages for the glow plugs to heat up, and that was on a 1976. Yours looks older yet! I was thinking about:

Hey! I remember taking that picture of our dogs! But, I thought you had acquired $3000 worth of camera equipment recently, but no new pics though, huh? Thanks for kindly publishing the memory of the house I paid the deposit on though. Good times, good times.

Oh Dear. I hope everyone will be ok. Including my cousins in Hastings. Wish we COULD take some of that water off your hands. I'd love to lie in bed listening to rain.

In spite of all our technology etc. enjoying nature is still the best thing going. :)

Awwws, how nostalgic! The smart car we talked about, and the picture that I took of our dogs. I am surprised you haven't got any other pictures of them, given the $3000 worth of camera equipment that you recently "acquired". But I do love that picture, and thanks for sharing it again - reminds me of our house (pictured in the background) that I paid the deposit for.

Maybe a paddle around in a pool would help?
