I LOVE IT!!!!!

Well.... I'm babysitting a Ferret for a week. Maybe longer.

My fiancee is flying out to Seattle to visit her GF. And I DO mean "Girlfriend". Her GF even bought her the round trip ticket, which was nice of her.

My fiancee is thinking she might just stay there. She'd have access to a car & public transportation (unlike where she is now) and be able to find a McJob, then finally a place of her own (she can't stay with the GF too long).

Which also would mean I'm either gonna be single again (after 7 yrs) or she'll actually try to see what jobs are out there for me, so I can move with her.

Sounds alright, till I looked at the cost of living in the Seattle area compared to Pittsburgh area. LOL! I doubt she'd pull off a move-to-stay, but if she does I say GOOD.

Back here she has No car, no public transportation, had to live with her verbally abusive mother, worked a shitty job making $150 every week. No friends, No education past High School. No discernable job skills other than manual labor or waiting tables.

Out there she might have some opportunities tho.

Only other catch is, she gets reeeeally shy in large crowded cities. I could see her crawl into a shell as we walked the busy streets of Pittsburgh. So the whole "Big City" thing might change her mind too.

So now starts my Week of Wait. Oh Joy!!!!

In other news, I forgot to mention the other "pet" of my fiancee's that I'm 'babysitting'. Her mouse. I gotta clean his cage. He's a bit stinky.

Being in the room with me & the computer & the loads of cigs I go thru, he's prolly gonna die of cancer in a week.

OR- I could have some fun & put the mouse in the Ferret cage. You figure out what happens next!

I am just so disgusted with my laptop. Last night really was very disappointing. I wanted to hangout inworld so badly and it would not cooperate at all. First of all, when I got back to the Hangout after my long long phonecall, everyone was gone so my favorite Llama and I decided to go see a movie at Mystery Science Theatre. But, this was not to be for me. We settled into a nice couples poseball and that should have been my first indication things were not going to go right since I had trouble sitting on it. Then, the movie starts but I wasn't getting sound. So I log off, come back and now when I sit down, Ghosty looks like he's standing to me. Nothing worse than having a romantic evening hugging your loved ones knees Plus, the movie still wouldn't work for me.

So, date night got thrown into the trash. I went to bed, alone and annoyed.

I tried logging on this morning and I'm still having troubles. I am very upset because tonight Ghosty is presenting 3 new pieces of his art at the Gallery he currently has his work at. Oh and here's a Shameless BF Plug: if anyone is interested in coming by, drinking imaginary champagne, being a pretentious art snob and oohing & aahing over his work; it's at 7pm SLT, S&S Gallery I think it's called? You can IM him or I for landmark, which you need to do because the place is gigantic and if you just search for the gallery who knows where you'll wind up.

Sorry I digressed. If I can't log in, rez, change clothing, tp, whatever obviously I can't go and I'm going to be even more annoyed than I currently am.

I'm ready to toss this laptop out the window. But can't for at least a few weeks for various reasons. So, I will take a deep breath and suffer.

Anyway, I just looked outside and it looks relatively sunny, crisp and autumn like so I think I'm going to discard this negative mood now, and go out to do some girly stuff like get a manicure and pedicure.

Have to force myself to go do bunches of dreaded RL chores -- have to start getting the house ready for winter cuz we are suppose to have our first hard freeze this weekend. Not to mention all the normal darn RL chores that have to be done on a weekend.

If my RL is going to constantly interfere with SL, I sure wish it would be lots more of the fun RL stuff rather than all the crud.
