From: Tex Nasworthy Maybe it's a guy thing but I didn't see anything wrong with that AO. Hiya Maureen, how was the festival this weekend? LOL, Tex. At the very least, it was too...choppy. Not nearly smooth enough for you. And our trip to the festival got postponed, due to the torrential downpours However, no real worries, we will go next weekend. Thanks for asking.

ACK! I have to VENT somewhere!!! And I don't "blog" so....... Parents can be SO frustrating!!! Years ago, my dad thought the Atari 2600 was fun as all hell. So today I said, "let me show you the PS2 & Guitar Hero"- yea, I know I'm behind. I'm a PC Gamer mainly. His answer: "I dont want that crap hooked into my tv" I said "What about the 42" plasma in the spare room?" His answer: "Not that one either" Its not that I'm trying to get him to play "games", but I read about althzheimers ( which seems to run in the family), and how video games that make you think can help to stave it off. He's 64- no hobbies. Emphysema, COPD, only 70% mobility in his neck, enjoys working 12 hr days. No interests other than watching 'Survivor' on TV. He, like his father, works, comes home, watches some tv, eats dinner, goes to bed. My grandfather, his dad, died at 92 blind in 1 eye from Shingles, wearing diapers, and not even knowing who he or others were. Can anything get any more frustrating???? It's like, well, telling your kids "No! I have no interest in these new fun things & would rather sit here & rot" And yea, mental illness runs in the family. Can't wait to see what I get out of it!!

To understand him, one must remember the values & morals of 1950s Small Town America. It all makes sense then.

Next...I have to show him this newfangled thing I've read about...I think it's called the interwebs, internet, inter-something. Has anyone heard of it?

I do not understand your point.
I do not have a cell phone (nor do I have an ipod, blackberry, iphone, imac, igloo, etc.). And unless you are really really young (so young you wouldn't be legal in SL), your dad is lots older than me.
My dad, though has a cell phone that he can't seem to get off, and a blackberry that he is constantly, annoyingly, checking. Of course I do not think he has a separate cell phone, now that he has the blackberry.

Testing pic links: WEIRD! I was testing because Maureen's breakfast pic was showing a "Remote linking of images not permitted sign" but now it's there.

I'm happy he has it so he can quickly contact me when he and my mom are out and about and need some help. And lol on the having no cell phone/blackberry etc.! You are not alone in this. I only got a cell phone b/c it was assigned to me at the office. It sure has come in handy, though. I didn't purchase a CD player or a DVD player 'til waaaay after each of those items had been out for a while. Just never quite...got around to it. But hey! Have you seen my nifty iPod Touch??? It is waaaay cool.

Hi Jesse - nah, I think the pic I had selected (a cup of coffee with a sunshine design on the top) had restricted access. Had to go find another pic. Hehe...no going back to read earlier pages of this thread, cuz I'm pretty sure I've cooked this breakfast before!!

From: Amaranthim Talon Promise you will not see me dance any of those interesting dances dear Ummm, those were not dances, dear, unless you consider them a form of the horizontal bop. [edit to add] I'm going to agree with Tex on this. Not a bad grind in my opinion. I wonder if there is a matching animation for the bottom.

Well- I found those "dances" when I was looking for typing override for the typing thread- I think what got me the worst was how unbelievably fuggly the avie is- I mean- come on, Ol Ruth is prettier than that! How do you sell sexy looking like that???
