So as far as SL and the forums go, did I miss anything?

There was that one post where some gorean slave kept talking about their aunt ... only they kept confueing the "c" key for the "a" key. Did she ever say who her master was?

Weird, I thought I saw her name etched in the wall in the cage down the hall. :D

Oh, and tattoos...I have a small one on the inside my RL ankle. It's a memorial to my Mikki kitty, who I had - or who had me - from the time I was 15 until just before I turned 33; basically, my entire adult life, plus a little. He was half Siamese, so the tattoo is his name in Thai.
See that's one of the best reasons for getting a tattoo that I've heard.

Lol. What was I thinking?

I always just love your pics but this is the most awesome one yet!

Howdy folks,

I'm back at work finally. We still don't have power. The computers are running on generator power, but we have no lights. It's really odd working at your computer by candlelight. Things are rapidly improving here, though I'm guessing that maybe as many as a million people in the area are still without electricity.

So as far as SL and the forums go, did I miss anything?
It's good to hear that progrss is being made. Hope things are back to normal for everyone soon.

Yes! I'm completely hooked on this show. With my history of getting hooked on shows, that's a bad thing. the ones I love usually get cancelled mid-season. Regardless, this show is excellent, and I can't stop watching it.
This always happens to me too. The last one was "New Amsterdam"

Wow, painful.
Did he have to have that surgically removed?
Damnit - now I have to clean the coke off the monitor again.

LMAO - I had not quite seen the pic in that way.

Empire does have a nice balance of understated elegance... Corinthian might be a tad over the top.. (Maybe we can sneak in and decorate before he notices?)

Good plan. I'm sure he has to go check on the various Circles and see how the occupants are faring.

Take a peek at his Blackberry for the schedule, would you?

Yes, shouldn't go for the Roman Dork one. The scam one sounds scammy. The roman ironic one is nice. I'd go with the Greek erection, maybe. Definitely not Temple of Winds. People will snicker and ask if you eat a lot of beans.

LOL. I figured #1 and #7 would be popular choices with the guys. :D

I was afraid to ask if pharmaceuticals had been involved.

I see they're introducing direct SLURLs for newbies, so they can click a SLURL on a webpage, be directed to sign up and make their first appearance in-world at their SLURLed location.

.....Is there a website for Goguen Sandbox yet? LOL

Only joking!!

That's OK. I already have a pretty good idea.

most likely you'll be right about 1-2 things, and wrong about the rest. but still, it's best to just keep some things to onesself.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

 eep, I knew they weren't cheap but that's a bit ridiculous. :( And it's a little difficult to ascertain that a mobo is bad in 40 minutes. That sounds like a cop out catch all to me. Unfortunately, much like the computers themselves, geeks are hit or miss. I hate to propagate stereotypes, but in my personal experience the most knowledgeable geeks do have horrid people skills. And vice versa. If he's nice to you on the phone he prolly doesn't even know what a "mobo" really is. :o

the Geek Squad is typically running out of a retail store. they probably receive extra commission on every mobo sale, hd, video card, etc.

Have you looked at "Geek Squad's" prices lately? ;)

LOL! $130 just to "add a device to an existing network", $120 to come to your house to set up a "standard wireless network".

i need to go to ITT tech and get some puter fixin skills.

Actually- Best Buys employees are not on commission - here speaks Mystery Shopper Extraordinnaire! I have shopped them MANY times!

BTW... I am speaking to you from my very virginal PC :) It is happily ensconced back in its little nest... I have installed its Anti Virus whatchamacallits and all is right with the world... Getting ready to cruise on over to SL and see how that runs...

Now there are a couple things I have forgotten. For one thing... the screen size... everything is really teeny on this set-up - and I have to double click on icons to get them to open. I use to have it set so they behaved like a web page- one click and you were off- but don't recall how I did it... And I am going blind from the teeny fonts... how do I change it to what I hade before? I was in Control Panel Display, but didn't see the where to change it...

I would love this environment. I have been dealing with a severe light sensitivity issue for many months now and have had the building folks turn off almost all of the lights in my work area, but I still have to wear sunglasses whenever I leave my desk.
