Thanks everyone. oh. ouch. I just sent an PM noting that it was feeling better, that oddly typing was making it better (odd I know). Suddenly flared up again when writing thanks for the notes.
*whimpers*
I'll be seeing the Nationals again on Friday. Sorry they defeated your team. Had to win last night. was t-shirt night. Didn't want t-shirts to be flung onto the field. Have to win tonight also. hat night (ugly green hat night). The Mets can win on Thursday. Nothing being given away that day. Friday is Camouflage Floppy Hat night. Have to win that one also. Though not playing Mets, so Mets are freed from the promotional give-away, must win games.
We will defeat the Marlins, and Phillies for you.

Stop typing right now, young lady, soak your arm in hot water (if you're not at work!), rub sportscreme on it, and take 2 ibuprofen! and ... feel better! *hugs* .

Poor Amara! My heart goes out to you; I hope you can find some good, quick, inexpensive help soon. Poor Lexxi! Do rest it and take care of it so it will get better soon(and not worse). From: Maureen Boccaccio LOL, this has always been one of my concerns about most tattoos: their permanence. That and the "ouch" factor. Now that you mention it the ouch factor is big for me. I'm pretty sure I'd be a complete whimp and probably back out with the thing half finished (if I got that far). The time I spent tending bar across the street from the Naval Training Center gave me a chance to hear a lot of tattoo stories and they all started out with the tatooee getting very drunk. From: 3Ring Binder my regret would be 2-fold: impulsively caving into the fad would be a personal internal embarrassment to myself, and i'd be livid over the cost to have it removed. Spoken like an adult. From: Maureen Boccaccio OK...you two have convinced me! I'll just start with a small one.

It's noon here and I just woke up. Well, for the second time...I woke up this morning with a headache so bad, I couldn't even open my eyes. Happily, the extra sleep seems to have all but conquered it.
Oh, and tattoos...I have a small one on the inside my RL ankle. It's a memorial to my Mikki kitty, who I had - or who had me - from the time I was 15 until just before I turned 33; basically, my entire adult life, plus a little. He was half Siamese, so the tattoo is his name in Thai.

Guys- took ailing PC to the Geeks... guy thinks it may have a fried motherboard- he attempted two Restores and was going to do a complete reconfig - I paid 140.00 plus an hour and 40 mins i will get docked at work for being gone- It may not be solvable and he sd it's not worth fixing if it is the MOBO. With lappy sick and now PC at death's door, you can imagine how cheerful I am feeling.

Poor Amaranthim. That really blows. I feel your pain. I had a mobo die on a brand new computer and the company that sold it to me told me to go to hell when I tried to get them to honor their warranty. They figured I wouldn't go to the effort to sue them over it. It was an expensive and complicated fix. The only good thing was that since it was a new computer, I had very little data on it that wasn't backed up, so I didn't lose anything of value.
Hang in there. I know it's frustrating, but it's not fatal - you can get it fixed.

From: Lexxi Gynoid I do not post a lot, and today will likely be even less posting by me. There was a sudden feeling of pain in my hand last night, and it is still there. Hurts to type. So, less of me today. I'm fairly certain that I pinched a nerve or something along those lines. Fairly certain it is something in my elbow. hand is hurting, and hard to use at the moment though, instead of, say, elbow (well, ouch. everything from elbow down I notice now, but it is the hand I use most, so it is the one that keeps yelling at me). I had this problem at the first of the year, started in the rotator cuff, and migrated to the elbow, wrist and hand. Seriously, the elbow cuff for tendonititis that you buy in the drug store was a miracle. That and exercises....

Amar ... if your graphics card is still good, you might be able to pick up the rest of the PC for not too much, and just move your disk over. Two things to try:
-- My local Circuit City had an unadvertised "floor model" sale last weekend; prices were amazing and they were willing to barter. I got a 24" monitor for $180.
-- Call local system integrators and find out if they, or their customers, are upgrading and have an good PC they'd like taken off their hands. System integrators deal with a lot of gadget freaks who roll over their equipment every year.
Whatever you do, make sure next time you have a good sized power supply and great cooling!
(Plus for the lappies, a cooling pad makes all the difference in the world. About $20). .
