Elora, dear...that look isn't working for you. Get a different beautician!

True, however, it's very low prim and allowing me to glide through the Hair Fair most efficiently :)

Elora do you have a laptop?
Maybe you can watch it at some hot spot over coffee?
Wonders if they have postings of places to watch on the democrat web site. Or if you ask a local Obama campaign center?

It is a lap top and there is a Starbucks very closeby. I suppose, I could just sit there, until it closes down which will be rather early in my town, but it is an option (I live in a town which is maybe 1 mile wide!).

3" is a tad safer - I do not do well once we get past 3 1/2" and that is pushin it.
Hey! I'm the perfect man for you then :D
A topic worthy of discussion.

I would like to point out I have restrained my self from answering in two Gor related threads. /me bows.

Well, you missed a great post by Desmond regarding the slave market. I should mention that someone said there was a lady auctioning herself off as a surogate mother before this.
From: Desmond Shang
Hey, I know very little about this - what kind of market is it? A commodities market?

Do they have an index fund?

Can you sell short, or hedge your investment?

Say you were buying and trading rapidly on margin, and then the market suddenly dropped - would you then have to take delivery on 500 unsold?

Perhaps they have a daily market analysis?

"The market sagged mid-day in light trading, and limp sales persisted until suddenly available shares of Bambi and Heather perked up to inspire a late afternoon rally... Looking forward into Q4 2008 the market seems pregnant with opportunity, but costly related consequences some months later may trigger unexpected, recurring burdens..."

* * * * *

The whole thing just scares me and feels wrong on many levels. I'll stick to vast tracts of land instead, thank you.

Did anybody else find the Hair Fair utterly frustrating?

I understand the sims filling to capacity, and I understand the inevitable lag which will accompany it.

But ffs, why were all the displays so far apart? I usually position myself in the middle of such nightmares, and then cam around and shop that way. It just wasn't happening at the hair fair though... stuff was too far away. I tried twice (the second time with Lexxi), and frustration eventually drove me away both times.

It definitely was. But you can't be one of those sniveling PC left wing types. It definitely gets ina few jabs, especially Robert Downey's character. And as much as Tom Cruise annoys me, he was great . But I give it the full 2 Pumps Up.

As one of those sniveling PC left wing types, i think i resemble this remark! :p

Awful. Much worse than the Shoe Fair and the only reason I plowed through is I love hair more than shoes. This morning, however, was much better probably because it's several days into it and most people have either been scared away or had their fill. I got a lot accomplished in a short amount of time, suprisingly.

Followed a really cool looking pair of men's shoes in SLexchange that somehow led me to a BIB type listing for Sculpty ladies shoes- this was half way down the page on their advert:
"I DO NOT ALLOWED ANY ONE SELL THE SHOES OR THE SCULPTED MAPS FULL PERMISSION. OR YOU WILL TAKE A DMCA DOWN,AND TALK WITH MY LOWER!!"

Better than "talk to the hand"?

Good morning everyone!

I got into work very early today. I'm living at home with no TV or internet access for a few days since I just moved and they won't be coming for the hook-up until Wednesday.

Woke up ridiculously early and figured I may as well just get on the train and head into work and catch up on what I've missing in SL, at the very least. Went over to the Hair Fair where I left off on Saturday before I had to let go of my service and lag was surprising low. Of course, they recommend that you discard everything possible on yourself, so here I am not drying my hair, but drying the paint on my skin :D

LOL, Elora. an updated version of a Harlequin. :p

Yea, I think I'm going to have to start using my RL quota for a couple of nights. Kind of frightening  What's bumming me out at the moment is the Democratic convention starts tonight and I can't think of a single place to go watch it in my neighborhood. I quess I could go sit in a bar somewhere, but somehow I don't think I'm a) going to hear it very well and b) my area, I suspect, is abit more Republican and may not even have it turned on :(

I think you should find a very bright Obama tshirt and wear that into one of the local watering holes.

Oh, and wear some shoes, too.

Shoes? How about some panties? I think that may be more called for before the shoes ;)
