I gotta pass on that one. I remember the original, with David Carradine.

Stallone was in that one too. It was so awful.

Yeah... somebody has been rather quite about her weekend. I'm by no means a NIN fan but I hope you had a great time. It was awesome! I got to meet him, and walk with him and stand hand to hand with him in his "circle of power" ritual he does before he goes out on stage all the while he explained everything that was happening to me and telling me which parts of the show to watch for cool effects. I was able to touch him, smell him, and share in a cool experience with the band. I have a gorgeous poster they all signed. It was an amazing experience. http://www.sluniverse.com/php/vb/off-topic/16066-what-would-you-say-your-3.html#post356775 |

I hate when the platform/medium inhibits creativity. On the other hand...builds character.

So.... Death Race.... much better movie than I thought it would be. Drink a few cocktails before you see it (maybe more than a few) and you'll actually enjoy it. I did. Plus, Ian McShane.... mmmmm! I saw that at the theatre when I went to see Tropic Thunder yesterday. Might be worth checking out on a Bargain Matinee. I have to admit, the original was a favorite late night flick back in the day. |

While you guys were Kvetching over being locked out, I went to the Movies and saw "Tropic Thunder". I highly recommend it....IF you aren't easily offended, and like Ben Stiller films. He was great , as were Robert Downey Jr and Tom Cruise, who played what probably he will actually be like in 20 years or so. The film is VERY Politically Incorrect, just about evrybody takes a hit somewhere, but there were places where it was just laugh out loud funny. The opening sequence, evoking Platoon and Apocalypse Now, with some great Huey action was excellent. I heard this movie was hysterical. Good to read your review. That clinches it for me! ![]() (I should note that I also thought "Euro Trip" was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.) |

I heard this movie was hysterical. Good to read your review. That clinches it for me! ![]() It definitely was. But you can't be one of those sniveling PC left wing types. It definitely gets ina few jabs, especially Robert Downey's character. And as much as Tom Cruise annoys me, he was great . But I give it the full 2 Pumps Up. |

Ohh are they remaking that one too? I think they did- but repackaging in purple and green didn't work as they planned... the tomatoes were - ahem - revolting... ![]() _____________________
