Last night I was IMing with someone, then he went afk for a bit, when he returned and sent me another IM, the IM box showed him typing but the IM went to my email and never ever came into the IM window -- even after I responded to his message inworld. Yyeah- that's sort of what like it's been with me too- and when I IM someone who I can see as online- they see my IM but when they respond, I appear offline to them and the IM goes to email- My alt is not having this problem - only me. _____________________

Curiously, although they have since admitted the mistake, the council initially responded by insisting that the photo wasn't -supposed- to be a picture of Birmingham, UK; it was just supposed to be a generic no-particular-city skyline. Which just HAPPENED to be the skyline of Birmingham, Alabama. With the words "Thank You Birmingham!" printed over the top of it. Well, E for Effort, in any case. _____________________

That is absolutely beautiful. Here is the current webcam shot at the Eisenhower tunnel on I-70 (it is freakin the middle of Aug and we should not be seeing this for at least another month or two):  eta: and we are only expected to see a high of 60F (15.5C) today -- so much for Global-Freakin-Warming. NO WAY! i am SO not ready for that! _____________________

Has anyone else been having major problems with the friends list? The last 3 nights, I have been having trouble seeing some people... im's and tp's showing person offline. Even if she is standing right in front of me. I am also showing offline to her at the same time.  My friends are disappearing too . . . Pep (Not SL's fault! LOL) _____________________

Pondering the IM problems, I wonder if LL are doing some behind-the-scenes tweaking to get everything configured for the launch of that SLim client they're planning? (The one that allows you to IM people in SL when you're not logged.)
