Okay, I'm off to cut the grass. Seems like it only stops raining here long enough for me to look after the more tedious gardening chores.
It has been raining here pretty much nonstop since yesterday morning. And the ground was still quite wet from the raining two days prior to that. The grass will be as tall as me by the time it dries enough to cut.

On an evern worse note from this damn store that has been rolling thru forever -- my power has been out for a half hour now, electric company estimates 4 hours until it is restored, the battery backup on the main computer is now exhausted and the battery on this laptop is currently down to 85% -- and it is so overcast outside, that a freakin flashlight is needed to read a book, even when sitting next to the window (at noon, no less).

Aaaand I am off to play on an RL moon bounce! wheee!

(I may have to boot a few 2 year olds out of the way to do so, though...but they still bounce pretty well at that age, themselves! :D)

When I want your opinion, I will waterboard it out of you. In the meantime your only function, as an object of the forum's collective derision, is to patiently endure being derided.

Don't worry Lil. I have had an ear-bashing from Amaranthim already and decided that, despite the encouragement to remain from several who occasionally appreciate my brand of "unsavory pomposity", it is probably better if I go into self-exile until I mature sufficiently (like Marty McFly) not to feel the need to respond to childish goads.

Sorry for ranting, but part of me thinks is was needed.

I have not been that cranky here in quite some time. A glass of wine has helped a bit, but given that my laptop battery is now down to 64%, I do not think my mood will improve too much more for a bit.

If I could at least read a book a bit easier, like would be a little better.

ETA:
/me hands Amara a large glass of wine, thinks a second and gives her a full bottle from the wine cabinet.

No Candles? Reading by candle light is nice and relaxing...

Well, that was fun - NOT.
Actually the fun part was taking the mower out of the garage and seeing a rather startled mouse pop out of it to look at me in a peeved sort of way. I had visions of baby mice flying out of the mulching attachment when I started it up.

Good decision, Cody, to leave the tub alone. You don't know where Mac's been.

Uh oh, looks like we're going to lose Lil. There should be a way to rig your laptop to your car battery. Some things you just can't go without.

I have plenty of candles, but the darn print in books has gotten smaller over the years, so it seems that my eyes like lots and lots of light when reading.

It really is that the book print that has gotten smaller - probably someone's effort to reduce the number of pages needed to print a book.

Let's find a quiet corner and get poop faced drunk... I am sure we can find some thing fun to do that won't involve us getting upset-

My battery backup system has me shutdown the computer when there really is still a bit of battery left - which is how I was able to get internet via the laptop cuz the battery backup still had enough juice to run the modem and router. The battery backup had just finally run out of juice and I lost internet connection just after reading this post. Was headin for a soak in the tub (though I just had a shower a few hours ago) when all of a sudden the power came back.

Somedays, things work out.
