Bah, we've had record breaking heat all summer, but it's so cold and icky tonight that I'm seriously contemplating turning on the heater. My feet are frozen!

Oxygen, but we're probably on different time schedules. oh. Oxygen is right in the middle of my lineup, but for some ungodly reason i would have to pay extra to view it. ie: i don't get Oxygen. _____________________

where's Kaimi? we miss our Kaimi when she stays away too long. I also went to the train station to pick up my ticket for a trip to Oregon on Tuesday. The good news is I get to see two of my kids and two grandkids. The bad news is I'm going kind of hurriedly because my youngest had to go to the hospital a few days ago with something serious but not quite explained yet. The other good news is that she is home and doing better now, thank goodness. ![]() And this evening I went to a neighborhood concert in the park. The band played all rock songs from my youth plus it's fun to see all these people of all ages come out and dance. They were just getting started when I took this pic. ![]() _____________________

More Olympics news, and most of the UK is going nuts for Rebecca Adlington. Just 19 and she not only won the 800m freestyle with about six seconds to spare, she also smashed (by more than two seconds) an Olympic swimming record that's as old as she is.
And the BBC has a fascinating article on Michael Phelps's diet. I dunno about you, but I wouldn't be able to *move* after eating even a quarter of his typical breakfast alone: For breakfast: three fried egg sandwiches, with cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, fried onions and mayonnaise, followed by three chocolate-chip pancakes; a five-egg omelette; three sugar-coated slices of French toast and a bowl of grits (a maize-based porridge), washed down with two cups of coffee. For lunch: half a kilogram (one pound) of enriched pasta; two large ham and cheese sandwiches on white bread smothered with mayonnaise, washed down by energy drinks. For dinner: Another half-kilogram of pasta, perhaps with a carbonara sauce, followed by a large pizza and more energy drinks. I've been working today on a kind of big project with a close deadline. I also went to the train station to pick up my ticket for a trip to Oregon on Tuesday. The bad news is I'm going kind of hurriedly because my youngest had to go to the hospital a few days ago with something serious but not quite explained yet. The other good news is that she is home and doing better now, thank goodness. ![]() oooh, Kaimi, sorry to hear about your youngest, but glad she is better. I love the train station in San Diego! And this evening I went to a neighborhood concert in the park. The band played all rock songs from my youth plus it's fun to see all these people of all ages come out and dance. They were just getting started when I took this pic. ![]() This looks like a fun time! In your hometown, it's always a pleasure to be outside, enjoying the good weather. _____________________

Ha, there were 60 people in Sarah's sim for the NIN party at one point, and one of them thar Lindens even stopped by! It was great! I didn't dare move my camera to try to see you Ann. I left about 8 slt, before any Lindens showed. I tried to tp home and failed. I thought about changing my prefs to login at home instead of last location, but I said to heck with it and logged out there. It rocked - and what a great build by Bear! _____________________
