Good morning everyone!!

CX - your 3 wheeled scooter reminded me of this, for people who want extra wheels on their scooter:

Check out the specs at http://www.seriouswheels.com/cars/top-2003-Dodge-Tomahawk-Concept.htm

edit: lolcrap! I just read the specs on that bike again. Holy torque Batman! 505 ft pounds on a 1500 pound bike. 8500cc engine, 500 horses. Top speed estimated at 400 mph. I can haz Tomahawk pleaz?

I'm sort of the opposite of you. I wouldn't know what to do with a Blackberry. i can't be bothered to turn on my regular cell phone most of the time, but I love my iPod.

I have seen a Tomahawk IRL at the Lone Star Bike Rally in Galveston TX. It uses a V-10 Viper engine. I talked to the guy from Dodge that was showing it around. No one has ever rode one. The engine was actually started but never driven.

For comparison my Excursion has a 6.8 liter V-10 (6800cc) 310hp, 425 ft lbs of torque and it weighs 8900 lbs and can tow a 12,200 trailer with an equalizer hitch and electric brakes.

Hi all!

Update:
I'm borrowing the webs while staying with family, so should be around for a couple of days :D Still no SL though :(
The phone company have said the line should be fixed in 24 hours, but I've heard it before, so I'm not holding my breath.

Hows everyone doing?

Claire!!! How're ya doing? We miss your smiling face around here. Not to mention the random tales of debauchery, ending up naked on picnic tables, and other assorted adventures. :D

Good to see you!

That'll sure overload the region. I bet those border crossings would be a pain. :p

I walked out of a Ralph Lauren Outlet Store a few months ago, leaving $200 worth of stuff on the counter because of all the incessant attempts at Data Mining. "Zip Code?' No. "Phone Number" No. "Name and mailing address" NO.......I just want you to take my money and let me get out of here. "I'm sorry. The manager says we have to ask these questions" Well, tell your manager it just cost him a sale. I took my Ben Franklins and walked out.

Power to the people, girlfriend. I do the same thing. :)

I've just spent an hour or two wandering around the Musa Artis exhibit:

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Blue%20Quill/15/120/79

*Definitely* worth a visit. From the info notecard:

From: someone
A series of mythological artworks exploring the themes of temptation and revenge.

Opening 12pm PST (SLT), 27th July 2008 until 7th September 2008

Musa Artis: Temptation & Revenge is a new exhibition that began life as a project penned for Second Life’s Fifth Birthday celebrations but developed into a larger independent exhibition. The central theme explores two of the darker influences on human nature and how these have been worked into the fabric of mythology. Drawing influences ranging from ancient Greece through to Celtic and more modern subcultures, each individual exhibit features a display of images, worked into the environment by each artist helping to contextualise the subjects depicted.

Musa Artis is a group of artists formed during the conception of the Temptation & Revenge exhibition in 2008, which came together due to a commonality of interests and philosophies regarding art within Second Life and were determined to create successful collaborative work in an independent fashion, free of the regulatory interference of either event organisers or gallery promoters. Temptation & Revenge represents their first in world collaborative project.

Visitors are very much encouraged to take their time exploring the individual exhibits and the ambience of the natural settings, interacting with the scenery to create their own custom images.
It's a great build with tons of fantastic poseballs if you like SL photography. I winnowed down my tens of screenshots to just 16, which you can see here:

I saw a picture of a guy riding one - shorts, t-shirt, no helmet, etc. It looked weird. I'll see if I can find it.

I fixed my stupid link so the picture works now.

Here it is. I'm not posting it inline because it's a really big picture, but it looks like the guy is riding it. What a squid. Look how he's dressed! :)

lolbucks. $555,000 each. Hold on. Let me check the Trout Recreant family fortune....

Looks like I'm going to come up a little short - by about $554,996.73.

"We are in Supply Visualization training this AM and will not be able to meet today!"

Huh??? Wishes I were a fly on the wall at the Dilbert meeting... :D

"Supply Visualization training" - learn how to "see" the paper clips...become with them...ouch, that sounds painful! :p

(ok, I have heard the phrase before, but it's still pretty goofy.)

Ummmmm - learning how to Visualize the Supplies?

Why anyone would want or need to visualize their supplies is beyond my comprehension - maybe they are not allowed to really see them.

Hope to check it out tonight after the explorations of my fellow content creators as seen in the Sales Thread :)

I just bought my new flat screen monitor there. I wanted the Dell, but it was out of stock so I had a second choice ready for my price range. I said "I'll take the LG,then." They had plenty on the shelf so the geek got one and as soon as we got to the counter I said "Here's a $50 gift card, tell me how much cash I need to give you. " That pretty much gave them the clue.

It's like Scotty said in the TNG "Relics" episode. "NCC 1-7-0-1. No bloody A-B-C-or D."
