ok im havin issues with my computer or i need to throw it out the window. had t do a pc recovery the other day(it had a virus), and since then its been acting wonky as hell. i can't search, im gettin pop ups from hell(i have pop up blocker turned on) and my Add/Remove programs wont load or will load after 15 minutes or so. and thats just the mildly irritating stuff....Help?

Of note for CSI Vegas Fans: It was announced that William Peterson will be leaving the show this coming season. There are 3 possible candidates to replace him: Laurence Fishburne, John Malkovich and Kurt Russell. We've been discussing it at SLU:

Hello thread people - long time no post...just a quick run down from my end of town...
Pop has recovered quite well - he's given me the boot out of his place, and is tired of me checking up on him by phone so much...at least, that's what I'm surmising by his immediate "I'm doing fine" when he picks up the line (caller ID of course). The axe has finally fallen on my position with my company - in fact, they've let go a whole branch, a whole level of management above mine, along with 9 of the 11 people who were in my position...both of the "survivors" have seniority over me with the company, so I can't find fault there. So, I have another 2 weeks of pay, and then I'm a free agent. Oh goody. I have to laugh, as I joke about this being a "big year" for me with the numbers and all (turning 42 on 08/08/08 - I'll have to make sure I'm alive at 8:08am tomorrow morning to laugh at it all)...and sure enough, this year has had a huge amount of change in it - and there's still more to go. So anyway - I hope everyone is doing well - I need to have a look back through this thread, but I've had scarce enough time until just very recently (heh...never a good idea to tell someone they only have a short time left on the job, and then expect them to continue on as if nothing's changed...uhm...don't tell the boss, but I'm pretty much spending this time doing what I want). Hell...maybe I'll even get the chance to get in-world one of these days.... _____________________
