From: Maureen Boccaccio Now that looks like a beach thingie... Actually it is called an Acapulco. This model was used by Mexican hotels to ferry guests to and from the airport. It has a luggage rack, surrey top (ala Fantasy Island) and running boards. (Things did not come equiped with running boards) Things were not used on the Fantasy Island TV show those cars were Plymouth Volarie station wagons with the tops cut off. "CX"

From: Maureen Boccaccio It's not possible to ignore the thread. I think it has something to do with physics, but not sure. I blame Schroedinger.

From: Joseph Abel Hello thread people - long time no post...just a quick run down from my end of town... Pop has recovered quite well - he's given me the boot out of his place, and is tired of me checking up on him by phone so much...at least, that's what I'm surmising by his immediate "I'm doing fine" when he picks up the line (caller ID of course). The axe has finally fallen on my position with my company - in fact, they've let go a whole branch, a whole level of management above mine, along with 9 of the 11 people who were in my position...both of the "survivors" have seniority over me with the company, so I can't find fault there. So, I have another 2 weeks of pay, and then I'm a free agent. Oh goody. I have to laugh, as I joke about this being a "big year" for me with the numbers and all (turning 42 on 08/08/08 - I'll have to make sure I'm alive at 8:08am tomorrow morning to laugh at it all)...and sure enough, this year has had a huge amount of change in it - and there's still more to go. So anyway - I hope everyone is doing well - I need to have a look back through this thread, but I've had scarce enough time until just very recently (heh...never a good idea to tell someone they only have a short time left on the job, and then expect them to continue on as if nothing's changed...uhm...don't tell the boss, but I'm pretty much spending this time doing what I want). Hell...maybe I'll even get the chance to get in-world one of these days.... Joseph, so happy to hear that your dad is mending quite well. Sorry about the job situation - it really sucks when that kind of stuff happens. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!

Morning my threoples. Yesterday was my children's last day of camp. So for the next 3-4 weeks I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn. Yay! Though of course I was up at 8 am today. Now time to figure out what to do today with said children so they don't drive me insane. I'm thinking water park ... the little one is scared of our pool for some reason, but doesn't mind the sprinklers and little wading pool there. Elora did you ever get a chance to go look? Anyway, have a good one and a special Happy Birthday to Amar and Joseph!

Happy Birthday Amara and Joseph! Hope both of you have wonderful days! Joseph, glad to see posting again, and that your dad is well enough to kick you out of his place, but sorry to hear about that job. On a selfish note; that does mean WE get to have you with us again And good morning to everyone and happy Rez Day to all of you who came into our world this day! August sure WAS a busy month.

From: Rioko Bamaisin Elora did you ever get a chance to go look? Anyway, have a good one and a special Happy Birthday to Amar and Joseph! Rio, you took your landmark off your profile Plus even if it were there, I had an awful migraine. Didn't even go back to Stiletto Moody, went this morning (and spent far too much money). I wound up helping G with something for a bit and crashed very very early. Send it to me inworld, ok? I'm there now.

From: Maureen Boccaccio Cats are always involved in everything. Whiskers the Cat: Whiskers loved nosing here and there, To see what she could find, In dark places her nose would dare, Danger she paid no mind. Quietly she sneaked and crawled about, Often she was never seen, Nothing was safe when her nose was out, No traces where she'd been. One day she found a dark old house, Temptation beyond compare, She slipped inside following a mouse, Unaware of what dwelled there. Wonderful nosing she found inside, She stayed a long long time, The day did fade and light did hide, Oblivious to her crime. Too late she saw the shadow fall, No chances to escape, Her wriggling did her no good at all, Firmly held by the nape. Whiskers the Cat vanished that night, Never a trace was found, Her ghost though you may well sight, Forever nosing around. Dear friends, this tale is one often read, The moral not hard to surmise, Whiskers the Cat was too nosey indeed, And her nose caused her demise. Enjoy

From: Damien1 Thorne I was there once. It was really nice. /me makes note to go back again. Time makes slaves of us all- I want to forget about sleeping- to have the time to explore it all. Last night- around 2:30 there was an X-File episode with the guy who played in CandyMan- seems some one had turned off his sleep requirements to horrible results of course- can you imagine what we would accomplish given unlimited wakefulness? I am told sleep is for the grave...
