From: Colette Meiji they asked people in the beta grid? before or after they had decided to introduce it? This was probably right after they requested people to mail in to be part of the beta and before the link leaked all over for everyone to join. Philip himself wandered around the beta grid talking to people, but since he likely only interacted with those who had specifically requested to participate in the voice beta, the reaction would have been predictably and overwhelmingly positive. Which fits entirely with his 'LL and the Lindens shouldn't be subjected to negative or critical comments, it's demotivating' approach.

Then there's the easy observation of how so many people use Skype. It doesn't take a genius to realize you could tie that into the client and add more features for it so people don't have to go elsewhere to fulfill that particular need. Why do they have to specifically "ask" anyone when observation will give them the answers they need? You guys are running out of straws to grab at. COLETTE DEBATE ME ON VOICE IT'LL BE A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO BRING ATTENTION TO THE CONCERNS YOU AND YOUR PEOPLE HAVE!

From: Colette Meiji This is what I meant about never voting out a president during wartime.
Its never happend. Other people in the world are not going to get that.
It was a very close election, particularily for an incumbant, especially during wartime. And to a great extent, reelecting him also was a statement on who was running against him. As bad as he was viewed, voters did not want the alternative.

That's because Kerry was running on a "don't vote for bush" wave as opposed to "vote for kerry". That just shows how broken our 2 party system is. DEBATE ME IN VOICE COLETTE!!!

Why are flame-fests allowed to run on and on when other reasonable discussions are shunted off to "Current Viewer Feedback" or locked altogether?

this used to be a voice chat thread...
06-22-2007 14:43
Originally started by a guy whos much admired squad leader or something was revealed to be an 11 year old kid once the voicechat was turned on. Said voicechat killed the mood in WoW. People began discussing the pros and cons of audiochat. Then some weird british calling americans yanks thing showed up and something about irish limeys, and next thing ya know the thread has been hijacked by some discussion on international relations and perceptions of such relations. Before the thread gets locked, take the international relations thread to the CNN forums. VOICECHAT! IT SUCKS! Doesnt matter what country your from.

DEBATE ME IN VOICE COLETTE!!! Oh most certainly. Every schmuck running for office spends millions telling you why you shouldn't vote for the other guy. But they never get around to telling us why we should vote for them.

winter, this is not brits calling the yanks anything at all. this is merely the suggestion that americans should be aware that their american voice may attract a vocal element of the anti-usa smog that has covered the globe for the last five years. the direction this thread has taken only serves to underscore the reality that too many americans get too patriotic too quickly, and cannot resist the urge to attack anyone that doesnt wrap themselves in the american flag. squeeze i cannot have a normal discussion with you. i have better healthcare, better retirement, and a lower crimerate. kids here dont kill the other kids at school, and i dont have to live in fear of terrorist attacks. you will insist i am somehow jealous of the life you have there and then wonder why americans are generally thought of as arrogant? do you realise the entire world laughs at you when a nipple causes such outrage? dont be a pretentious twat. you seem to have already dissected and passed judgement on my humble nation, but you havent even asked where i am from! no time for u squeeze From: SqueezeOne Pow Yeah, have-nots generally feel bitter about the haves.
The only reason other countries are against what we're doing is because we have the resources and power to do it and they don't.
It wasn't that long ago that France and England were occupying foreign lands for indefinite amounts of time...they called them "colonies".
Germany can't really comment for a while.
No other country has the right to play holier-than-thou against us. They're doing the same shit in different ways.
End patriotism.
I'm not down for the US government but not for the reasons toted in many followers' party lines and made popular in international media.
