Best Female Skins and Shapes???

I like X2 skins and Katana Blade is great too!

Just bought 2 Insolence skins. I'm REALLY impressed! Adam n Eve has some cute alternative colors (silver, green, blue, etc) I'd steer away from the gold as it sort of looks like you've spent WAY too much time under a tanner.

[Edit: To those skin designers out there... I'd LOVE to see some female skins with natural pubic hair... I'm tired of having just a tiny little landing strip or NOTHING (ugh)]

Shape is too personal to me to buy one.

I have a similar drawback with SinSkin as they are not fully "Correct" and parts have to be added. But they are so nice that it's a equitable trade off. I use Sin's eyes as well.

Skin Expo has started, I just found out. It is in Givenchi (201,142,24). Am gonna browse around a bit and drool, lol.

lol, that's one of the things I really like about the CS Vogue skins...there's some carpet on the kitty.

I have several Sin Skins and love them as they have gothicky looks WITH freckles. I wouldn't want to be without me freckles. I almost never use the "carpet undies" tho.

Hey, does anyone know how long the skin fair runs? I'm still at work and don't get done for another 5 hours... think it'll still be running?

I'll throw my hat in the ring for RaC skins as well, they're really beautiful and very detailed across the whole body. I checked out some sin skin demos, but found that outside the facial area they really didn't offer much detail, and definitely not as much as RaC.

As someone else mentioned earlier, RaC's sparkly eyes are also quite nice.

Has anyone ever seen a canine version of a neko? Like a wolf or coyote?

I've seen a werewolf, but that was full furry; and I've seen mice and rats, not that mice and rats are canines (the mice and rats looked more like neko, but with mice and rat parts instead of cat parts)

I've seen kitties and bunnies and mice, oh my!

...but no canids. Well, one of the fashion blogsters claimed she was fox, but she looked neko with a fluffy tail to me.

Now that I think about it, you'd pretty much have to tack on a long nose to look canine. Otherwise, like you said the ears, tail, etc all pretty much stay the same. A wolfish snout would look a little strange...

Oh well. I sort of wanted to be a coyote for a while.

I've suddenly got a very cute female skin. I think she's called Ruth. Problem is, it's got this big ugly guy's head - with beard - stuck on it and my hair's down to my ankles.

Ruth's skin is soooo not cute...girl needs an SL-dermatologist or something.

And a makeover on the Oprah show... can you just see Ruth walking onto Oprah's stage, with the 'Before" pic on the screen behind her?

She's always appeared a little mannish to me.

And mildly reminiscent of ET...

Now I feel really sad.

SinSkins are just .. so lovely! Definitely recommended, but get a nice shape yourself first.

I agree about the Nomine skins and have been a regular since they re-did their skin line a few months ago. Nomine skins have realistic looking body shadings, and lots of glam make-up. (I go for the high drama LOL) - but also, they have in their line many many choices including a gorgeously tinted China White (that is really more like a bone china that is tinted pink, with many shadings). Another thing about Nomine is the colors are a more natural palette than most skins on the market -- latte is a creamy medium color, whereas fawn is has a slightly yellowish edge -- and they are in the same tonality (shade). So you can have a lot of options in terms of skin and make-up. I consider Nomine skins to be artistic and treasure them.

speaking of artistic skins, check out Yummy. The shop I visited is located in the Serenite sim, and the creator has a background in pastels. You can tell because her skins are hand painted like thick pastel paintings, or perfectly rendered oils. She put a lot of herself into these skins and you can tell. They are all American natural beauties, hardly any makeup, and glow with radiance. There are special skins for blondes, and these skins have lighter brows and features all around, so your blonde avis will look totally natural and healthy. She is not well known, so you won't see yourself coming and going. LOL My only complaint is that one or two of the skin colors seem unnaturally yellowed, almost harsh, but that might be the light I was using to view the demos in.

My other favorite skins are RAC (awesome!!!!!!) the skin actually glows, the faces are beautiful --- but -- prepare yourself to look like you are 12 years old. Not one of these gorgeous skins looks a day over 12. The beauty is there, the skin, colors, faces, makeup - etc., but omg these are children's skins. Try the demo and look at yourself good and hard. You want that look? there you go.

For a good 1000L skin with many options for makeup, good tones, great faces, try Nevermore Studios. I wore those skins for six months and never tired of that look. They're great.

The skin I'm wearing now and getting compliments every single day is from Skin Within. This is a photo-realistic skin, with great shading and highlighting done by hand. No greys, but lots of lush lights and shadows with subtle mixes of colors that soften and look natural. Again, this is an artistic skin, but most people just stop dead in their tracks and ask if I'm wearing a photo.

I am such a skin researcher.... I never knew until I started this reply. I am so sorry to have gone and on and about it!!! LOL
