So my question is: what would you want your final posting to say?

These forums are like a herd of performing elephants with diarrhea --

massive, difficult to redirect, awe-inspiring, entertaining, and a
source of mind-boggling amounts of excrement when you least expect it.

Don't give up hope, the bomb hasn't dropped yet.

with that in mind I think my final post should be:

"You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"

but i'd probably end up with:

This is the way the world ends.
This is the way the world ends.
This is the way the world ends.
Not with a bang, but a whimper.

I don't know about my last post here, but my post to the Blog Discussion about it will be a prose poem likening it to flooding a living town to build a dam.

I'm not a terribly good writer, so that in itself should be an incentive to LL not to close this place!

Pretty good analogy from someone who is "not a terribly good writer." :)

What would you like your final post in these forums to be?

It will likely be: "Oh, puh-lease. Stop being such a bunch of drama queens - they've threatened this a bunch of times and will never get around to it."

“N-nothing important. That is, I heard a good deal about a blorum, and a blue lord, and something about the end of the Forums, but please, Mr. Linden, sir, don't hurt me. Don't turn me to use anything... unnatural.”
