this sort of crap should be stopped...FAST!!! Hey this boosts not only the number of accounts registered numbers But also the "Users logged in in the last 30 days numbers" As well as helping improve the 10% retention stat. AND increases the total online while doing the minimum of online type things .. since they aren't tping or accessing their inventory .. etc.. SO for LL its all win. ----------------------- The creepy part will be when you log on one day and find you can only find bots, no real people anywhere. You are the only one left. |

Does anyone else sincerely hope that the new search engine with its results based on 'relevance' rather then 'traffic' will help eliminate or at least curb this blatantly unscrupulious gaming for numbers.
Or does LL rely on the numbers generated by these bot farms a little too much to sell their platform?
If you were a business owner and you were thinking of spending advertising dollars in SL, would these pictures make you think twice about who you might be spending money advertising to, or the actual numbers of people (as in actual human beings and not lifeless camping bots gaming a traffic system) that your advertising message would reach?
I count over 50 bots in the one picture. That's 50 'residents' who are only one human being. And obviously a money-grubbing little whore of a human being at that.
If advertisers and or Sony or Dell or CSI were really made aware of this common practice within this platform, do you think it would matter to them about the amount of money they would throw at this platform?

Unfortunately the land is set to no build, so I couldn't move any of them significantly. Most of them have a birthday of 11/3/2007. Some of them were born on 11/8/2007; not one of them has any information in their profiles.  Gaybot, do they have Payment Info On File? I'm wondering if someone is using alts to convert $ to $L, a sort of stipend factory.

The owner could have have used the zombies as a bit of advertising. Oh, maybe she is .... maybe it's the all new 'Ruth skin and hair' for discerning newbies. |
