Where do you change clothes?

That's what I mostly see.. I didn't say it's ONLY those people. Other's mileage may vary.


"understanding why others CAN get so unraveled about it.." doesn't mean ALL others, but some people DO get unraveled about it in a big way. I've seen girls leave big money events they were sure to win because they couldn't TP out to change a top (tp wasnt working). To me, that's throwing a fit and becoming unraveled by the restrictions of their own vanity. I didn't mean everyone who would just rather do it elsewhere, and I don't think what I said implies that.

I usually change at home. It's hair and skins I fiddle with. I wear Kristauf jeans and Tees. hair I change about every day, every hour. Tattoos stay for about a week. I dont care who sees me naked. I dont think a nude body is offensive. Bad clothes are. In real I am not that modest anyway so it would be hyporcitical to transfer it to here. PS Dana Hickman is a FANTASTIC neighbour of mine.

and, whilist the shirts are rezzing.. a sneak peak can be had of your tatas.. me personally I do not like to display my tatas... I am the girl who hid in the bathroom at gym class to change.. very shy.. and even though this is a "game" and not real.. "cough" I can not seem to break out of that shyness..

I prefer to change at home. If I'm away from home, I will find a sign to hide behind, or fly up about 1000m.

My fave is at home. I like to really spend some time and HAVE FUN!

I like to get naked and then really take serious time getting dressed. Panties, bra, garters, stockings, heels, glitch pants, skirt, top, collars, sleeves, you know. EVERYTHING!

In real life its usually just panties, bra, socks, dress, shoes and out the door!

And NOT a Scarlet O'hara fancy Ball Dress from Fatima Ur either! More like a cute little spring dress from Macy's.

Here in SL I know everybody has their own dreams and fantasies, but for me its owning a thousand awesome outfits of all styles and from throughout history and WEARING THEM!

I LOVE playing dress up most of all.

The truth is, it's like playing Barbies again, but in SL WE get to be BARBIE and wear her clothes and live in her dream house!

I can do the change-by-replacement trick in pucblic BUT...

When SL borks (really? SL borks?) I have had the OLD outfit vanish but the new outfit NOT rez... and I was left at a crowded club stark naked!!!!!

AND... this being a classic SL bork... I couldnt NOT teleport and could NOT get ANY of my clothes to appear.

When I tried to put on sometrhing else I got the message "cannot attach. an item is pending for that spot!"

...and i'm like REALLY drawing attention now, and IMs from the managers about their dress code (I guess it apparently sed something about no full frontal nudity)

...and I'm screaming at my computer screen:

"If it's frikking "pending attachment" then frikking ATTACH IT ALREADY!"

And the latest IM says "Since you are obviously ignoriong my repeated requests and REFUSE to get dressed we will have no choice but to permanently ban you Poddy!"

I do use my radar and if no one's around I just get naked in a store and change into a new outfit I just bot.

And here's what's really funny. I visit nude beaches sometimes with my friends (in SL) and I even own one in sl.

That doesn't phase me at all, being naked here I mean.

But I REFUSE to let anybody see me BALD!

That SO TOTALLY FREAKS ME OUT!

I change at home. It's just a habit though. I could go naked even in PG areas because I am fully covered in silky fur - a huge advantage sometimes.

One problem for people changing clothes in public areas is the use of "outfit folders". If they aren't careful about what is in the folder they could end up half naked in public god forbid!

I learned years ago never to use folders to change clothes. It may seem easy at first but when the folders contain no copy items it quickly becomes a major inventory hassle.

Take my word for it the best policy is to never use folders and to change your clothes one item at a time in the privacy of your home, or behind a rock, as I used to do when I was new.

I think it's funny that when I give a new person a clothing item they go into 'appearance mode' to change their clothes.

I usually change at home or if SL is laggy I go under the sea. I do change while inside a store when I buy something but I typically get the urge to change while I am at home.

LOL yeah half naked ? try full. I have either flown up high, or gone underwater or behind a tree before i had land or if the urge arose just change and who cares who is lookin. Can take me a while too.

I usually zip up to a high altitude (Z>700) to change. Rezzing is much faster up there and you also tend to be alone.

Using the "Faster" flight setting on the Mystitool flight enhancement it only takes a few seconds to fly up and down again.

Yeah A friend used to do this jump in the air 100m or so and tumble animation and land in her new outfit. Kewl tp the max..............

I last changed clothes during the summer of 2006. I put on an England shirt for the World Cup then took it off a few days later after they were embarassingly knocked out. Seeing as they didnt even qualify for Euro 2008 I will probably next change clothes in the summer of 2010 assuming england qualify for the next world cup that is (and I aint holding my breath). I will need to give it some serious thought over the next 2 years but I think I will probably just change my top wherever I happen to be at the time rather than going home. However allot can change in that time and I suspect that LL may of banned all partial nudity and confined the entire population to concentration camps by then. I will resurect this post in the summer of 2010 and will let you know where I go to change my clothes.

I love to change clothes underwater. No one can see it, and they are nicely washed before i put them back into my inventory !

Last night changing i found myself topless and skirtless - bf didn't mind - fortunately we were home at the time- but u can see where this could have been embarrassing.

I love having my own place and privacy. I love changing my clothes 100 times and not having to deal with people watching. Personally, I find it annoying when I see someone naked or working on their appearance in a public place.

I also mainly change while at home. There may be times that I'll try on a variety of different outfits depending on the evenings events which takes some time and privacy is important to me.

I have changed at public locations on occasion (very carefully) but thats extremely rare.

\o/ for old thread revival lol but it doesn't bother me where I change as most of my stuff is sorted into folders so if I want to change just wear the appropriate folder..and all my clothes rez quick for me so I always look clothed so if others can see me mid change then lucky them lol..and I don't have any problem going naked as those that go to same clubs as me will know

I have been known to change in the middle of a dancefloor, without even stopping dancing, if the venue is suffering from lag and I am wearing a laggy outfit. As far as I know, the "replace outfit" method hasn't left me naked long enough for anybody to notice.

Often though, I like to put a new outfit together for an occasion and there is no substitute for a bit of privacy and somewhere to rez a posestand. I also wouldn't want to be trying out underwear, skins or "mature" appendages anywhere public. This is one of the biggest reasons I bought land. Before, I used to go under the sea or use NCI changing room, but got harrassed a few times and never found it a very relaxing experience.

I always change at home( 3-4 times a day ehm..) according to time, mood, weather lol...when i was homeless i used to go on top of high buildings (if sea was not available)...

Me and my alt, we jet up to 1000m or so and change there, using the "Replace Outfit" method. With a Mystitool on flight setting "faster" this just takes a few seconds. Also, rezzing attachments usually works much faster up in the Stratosphere, so this tends to help in slow sims.

Anyway, changing clothes is easy, as I maintain complete outfit folders containing hair, clothes, attachments ... everything including HUD attachments and AO. Therefore also changing at ground level usually would not be a problem if the region isn't laggy.

Usually I decide on what I'm going to wear before I leave home for a day in SL (I always go home to log off), and if I'm on a shopping trip I wait until I get back to try everything on because I'll be standing there for hours, mixing and matching and putting together outfits from all the various things that I bought.

That said, however, I did end up bare-arsed in a store yesterday when I forgot I was wearing underwear-layer jeans and tried on the lower (underwear) layer of a new tattoo set I'd bought. I suppose at least the tattoos on said bare arse looked great...
