(hoping you are he) I'd search this forum for past threads about broken hearts/relationships, and IM some of those people in world with your credentials. (People post in those threads with happy and sad stories, pro and con SL romantic/erotic involvements.) Might or might not have any luck, but reading those threads, if you haven't, is also a good place to begin to gain understanding about SL relationships. _____________________

Thanks to all of you who are at least willing to give me half the benefit of the doubt. (And yes, you made me laugh with that line about salacious and leering.) First of all, you're right, I suppose I could be just about anyone, with my aol address. But the fact is, the NYT Magazine staff, as opposed to the staff of the daily paper, doesn't have NYT addresses; I don't know why. There have always been more important things to think about, till now. One way we could do this: you could write to the address on my website (danielbergner.com), I'll reply, and that way you'd know for sure.
Second thing (and I have to ask your forgiveneness), I'm fairly technologically incompetent. If you're suggesting that I visit certain areas of SL, before you'd be willing to talk, you may need to tell me how to get there, though I'm going to set out on my own now. Last thing: I am NOT looking for a scandal. And if any of you will speak with me you'll find that out pretty quickly, as I explain my current book project. Thanks again..... |
