Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun, where one guy acts as commander on both teams and others duke it out on the ground, im already making the GDI units, starting with the mechs/vehicles , then doing the infantry, then the orcas, then the buildings, and the same order for Nod.
It would have to take up an entire sim to work properly, (Im not able to buy one, so if someone else would like to help me on this project, let me know) and theres also the issue of making the Mammoth MKII work, full scale would be about 1/2 of a sim.

I like the ideas of Toon and text games linked to Inform through PHP. Of course, as I've said many a time, I'd like to see biofeedback games in SL like Journey to Wild Divine. neko

From: Flyingroc Chung Pacman, space invaders, and Taipan. Several of the old Atari type games do exist and are playable at the Royal Victorian Arcade in Jiminy 166, 98. I think the owner is currently working on frogger and donkey kong. I've played pacman and asteroids. they're very well done!

From: Hiro Pendragon I had some crude Pacman AVs that I made a year ago... and I made a prim mini-board...
I considered how to script it, but overall, it'd be fun as heck to have 4 people be ghosts, maybe force the ghosts into mouselook so that the game would be fair. Yea that'd be fun!!! I have pacman sounds already uploaded BTW

Satch, even though it has been 15 years since i played that game i still miss it
never has a game based on another medium done so well at capturing the spirt of the original
i still crack up to this day from time to time remembering the one spy getting hit with the spring and flying across the room, and thier ghost floats away playing a harp
crappy graphics aside, was a classic game
and while we at it, how about a full scale gauntlet or spyhunter
i miss those old classics
i got galaga and ms packman on ps so im good there, but theres so many other good games mia
like demon attack
i could go on all day but im blurry from exploring and trying to figure out how and what am im going to try to build in the sandbox
i purchased some extra cash just for a one time splurge, and was was quite happy to find 3 grateful dead shirts a jimi hendrix shirt, and a pink floyd shirt
even though i saw Lynard skynard 2 weeks ago, i skipped that shirt as it was from florida and i saw em in cali
well im rambling, thanks for the kind welcome
and thank you very much to the entire community. i had one small altercation with a jerk in a storm trooper suit and gladly paid $25 to rate him appropriately, but everyone else including a suprising amount of women, made me feel very welcome
hope i stay here for longer then that other place

I was working on 2D Pixel games like pacman a few months back. My trouble was with the latency of the keypress. When you held -> for a few seconds, and then quickly need to go <- you still had at least one more move to the right. It didn't seem responsive enough and I got frustrated. Maybe someone else will get it to work. Maybe the trick is to not actually move a prim and to instead play games with some uber-animated texture.

From: Hamlet Linden Computer games, video games, board games, card games, whatever. Which ones would you love to see make their way into SL, in some new incarnation? The one I would like to see (and it would be childsplay to make with SL tools...) Castle Wolfenstein 3D!

Hi Hamlet I'm in the final stages with bringing the board/word game Boggle to SL Aptly named Sloggle LOL I know there's a digital type one already around thats in casino/gambling format but I thought there would be an interest in a "lets gather around in the livingroom or garden and play" version too. It can also be used for Sloggle events or tourneys as well, with prize option per game or rounds up to the host, as money winning is NOT built into it. I'm on the design end of it - concept, look & feel, adapting it to SL & creating the instructions and all that, in partnershiop with Konigmann Lippmann bringing my ideas to fruition with his awesome scripting talents. Look for it out soon! Let's Sloggle!

Of all the things I'd like to see, I'd love to see roleplaying. Not in the sense of dice and character sheets, but freeform roleplaying as I used to do via IRC. It wasn't then about the game, it was about the story. I'd love to see an entire sim, clothing, customizable avatars, weapons, etc.. Devoted to World of Darkness FFRP or D&D FFRP, hell any FFRP would be cool. Maybe it's there now, but I've not found it..
Other games? I'd love to see a viable first person shooter. A flight simulator, a first person diablo clone.

I believe the game your thinking of is Q-Bert. Little dude w/ a big nose...jumping around on squares on a pyramid...being chased by snakes? Oh how I loved that game!

Puznik...... LOL
an old nintendo game I fell in love with. It was 16 levels of puzzles, each different. you moved blocks around to eliminate them, but it has to be done in a certain order to "clear" the puzzle and of course the difficulty increased with each level. I was at level 14 I think last time I played. It had Gravnik on the same game cartridge as well. OMG I love this game.

From: Jeffrey Gomez Yes, but only 31 prims per physical object. I could actually write a script to make Katamari Demancy work beyond the tech limitations ("virtual" linking behavior, like I showed you), but methinks the sim would cry bloody murder on Havok 1. I would like to see: "Resident Second Life" or "Silent Hill: The Club"Because most of 'em are zombies anyway, the pursuit of brains wouldn't hurt! I recently purchased a ps2, just to play Katamari Demancy, and after word it inspired me to try to recreated it in secondlife. I had no idea bout this thread. That game is just sooo much fun, I wish there were add on levels, or make your own. Plus I have no one to play 2 player mode with. Any way, Like very one seem to think. The linking part is easy. But even relitivly small object linked to larger objects seem to have a drastic effect on the rolling effect. Plus some times primtive end up linked some distance away from the ball. Ones objects are linked to the ball. The ball has a tendancy to fall straight through the ground. I guess this might be able to be fixed using hover or some such. I found in laggy sims, I can some times get away with using primtives for ground, but no matter what sim I go to, fast or slow, the object falls through the real ground apone link. Perhaps if it was riged to be boyant in water. Or then again phantom, and do every thing with math. Because of the limited number of object posable to be linked, I though it be easyer to do a game like Katamari, but not Katamari. Like Katamari Jax or Katamari Obstical corse. I've been trying to find you, Jeffrey, online. I wanted to ask you to take a look at it. The dang phsyic stuff make me head hirt. But now that i've seen this thread.. it sound like you've already given it quite abit of thought.

Set your hover height to avoid fallling through the ground--I think

Has anyone tried or succeeded in building a Harry Potter Quidditch game? I would love to form teams, have prizes, etc. but I'm somewhat new and just now attempting building and scripting...let me know if anyone's interested in doing Quidditch w/ me.

I was trying to do the Katamari Damacy thing a while back, with some degree of success. In order to get the sticking to work right, I had to temporarily disable physics while the linking happened. If I ever get SL working on this computer again (using Linux, and I accidentally clobbered Wine somehow), I could give you the code I used.
