You seem to be doing your thing, and that's fine. Keep doing your thing. No one is stopping you. If you're not in it to make money, fine. No one has issues with the way you are choosing to live your SecondLife.

You on the other hand, seem to be having a problem with the way others want to live theirs. And therein lies your problem. You want everyone else to do as you do in SL, and that's not going to happen.

i also sell product and make moeny off of that, obviously if people didn't believe in paying for things, they wouldn't have but yet i've made over $2000USD in SL

Considering we pay for them as part of our contract with LL, why shouldn't we be protective of them?

LL know it would be suicide to kill stipends with no compensation or change of costing - and as there are few incentives to 'go premium' as it is, removing stipends would just be stupid.

It's already been shown many times over that stipends are not the problem - its people cashing out far beyond the current rate in the hope of a quick sale, and panicking those who don't see it happening - that is losing the value of the L$.

(by me) You want to hear awesome? I joined an ALIFE project today (err yesterday), the land was donated, time effort scripts etc all donated. These people are in it for fun and entertainment, not to make a quick buck.

Thats what this game should be. Let people come to try to invest or start a business and make money, Im all for it. The quality speaks for itself. In a month we will see who is still around trying to make that quick buck and who is here for the game itself.

8th: There need be no division between those who come to SL for fun and entertainment and those who come to make money. The problems arise is when Lindex sellers drop the market by selling too much and then scream that stipends be taken away.

9th: Ok, lets take this hypothetically. Everyone come into SL with the same idea for a potential widget. Or even widgets that are similar with some minor differences. Is EVERYONE going to make money this way? I think youre missing the supply/demand theory.
