How about proposing something worthwhile instead of whining reserve?
The p2p teleport is now a lynchpin of SL..to change it now would cause as much of a fuss as the telehub incident.
The events was already discussed on the event discussion board.
No go get over yourself, your bullshit level is high today.

No go get over yourself, your bullshit level is high today. Jonas: You have been sleeping. I've made plenty of proposals. But the incompetent people that you represent are just physically unable to understand the Economics of how a constant inflow of new Linden Dollars is leading to a continued decline in the L$. You would figure, that after debating this issue for months and watching the FALLING L$ VALUE ON LINDENX would have sparked a brain cell in your head to put 2 + 2 together. That new L$ inflow and declining valuations are linked. But these topics are beyond you. Its like Einstein trying to explain relativity to a janitor at LL Headquarters. Yes Janitor Jonas, when you travel at the speed of light, time stops, because nothing can go faster than light.

Oo Oo... I have a very off-topic Question for you Mr. Einstein ReserveBank Division: So... What happens if an astronaut brings his ship to a complete stop? (ie: cancelling out the speed of the earth's orbit around the sun, the sun's orbit around the galaxy and the galaxy's speed away from the alleged point where the big bang took place?) I was actually joking about the pay to teleport. I just kinda liked the sound of a 'p2p2p' system.  (pay to 'port to point) -- if ( topic == "red herring" ) llOwnerSay( llSqrt(-1) );

Jonas and Jopsy, I was just sitting here, eating my muffin, drinking my coffee, when I had what alcoholics refer to as a moment of clarity.
There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is The Lord when I'll lay my vengeance upon thee."
Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. LindeX here, it is the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that ain't the truth.
The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil Capitalist. But I'm tryin', Jonas and Jopsy. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd. So Shussh!!

Now here we go again. Someone is selling Lindens at 300L. The rate under that is 290L and there are only a couple thousand Lindens in that bracket. Why would someone sell at 300L (300,000 Lindens total)? They are not saving any time. It's not any quicker. The 300,000 would sell just as fast at 290L. 300,000 at 300L is $965.00. 300,000 at 290L is 998.27. That's a complete waste of $33.27. Get out faster, no. It will sell just as fast at 290L than at 300L. I just can't believe that someone doesn't care at all about how much they are losing out on.
Once again, getting out faster or whatever NO. If you are in that much of a hurray sell at 291L and keep another 30 dollars.
I really wish LL would get ride of the 3.5% fee then I would buy those and sell them at 290L instead.

Reserve: You proposed a prim tax. Already done before, and stopped before. It was a dismal failure. From one so sorely and visibly lacking common sense and a real definiton of 'paid for' your term 'Janitor Jonas' is a COMPLIMENT cause its surely far above whatever meager position you hold.
Get over yourself.
Quit the necroequinnoflaggetation.
Get back to your trailer.
Stay off your sister.

Doesn't take much deductive reasoning to figure out who it might be.... Someone must deal with a lot of cash to be able to lose 178 dollars if all those in the 300L instead of 290L. Or what will happen is no one will be willing to wait and sell at 301L instead creating another road block no one wants to wait for.

round number can be good..or bad. I personally believe the lindex echange rate issue is due to people selling worse and worse to make a quick sell.

If everyone here honestly believes that L$300/USD$1 is a ridiculous price and that someone is trying to game the market, then put your money where your mouth is!
Buy up the cheap L$300/USD$1 with your cold, hard RL USD$ and make some real USD$ in the process. If you are right, the person gaming the market will run out of money, and you'll make some real dough selling that money you bought for L$280/USD$1 a short while from now.
For an investment of USD$1000, you could net a profit of USD$32.63 (amount correct after accounting for fees) by buying high at L$300 and selling low at L$280! That's a 3.3% gain in just a few days!

Unfortunately the 3.4% cut LindeX applies is > to the 3.3% benefit. Net gain = -0.1% Oh, err, anybody got 100000$ I could borrow ? I wanna buy up most of the L$ that are for sale and bring the rate to 200 L$ / US$

I thought it was a 3.5% fee, no?
Normally I sell by putting in a slightly more selfish sell price and waiting. But out of curiosity I put 10k through and selected the default rate offered by the lindex page... it sold half an hour later.
Perhaps whoever is selling at L$300 thinks they're getting more money by raising the number up to 300? I've seen some pretty obtuse thinking evidenced in SecondLife. I wouldn't rule out the dilbert principle here.
