OK, disprove it then.

I don't need to. When people are making an accusation of wrongdoing, the burden of proof is on them to prove the wrongdoing.

Unless you're in a fascist / communist state.

From: someone
Personally I don't care if that is your intention, but as the accusations have obviously irked you to the point of calling them "slanderous" then back that up with a firm, direct statement as I suggest above.

In cases of slander, the burden of proof is on the accused slanderer to prove that what they say is indeed correct. The only proof that I "have bad intentions" or would "exploit the teen grid" some time in the future would be (a) Having a mindreader (b) Finding me exploiting the teen grid financially. (c) having a time travel device. Since none are even possible, my statements (Which have been civil and well-evidenced) are taken as fact.

But, to satisfy your thirst for proof, Moopf, I point to the fact that the teen grid has no money.

From: someone
Your whole topic is a red herring to be honest, it's a storm in a tea cup created by you because you feel, for whatever reason, agrieved that the Lindens are using somebody else's content on the teen grid.

Accusation. False. That's your opinion, it's incorrect, and you have no way of ever backing that up with any evidence. Cease and desist with these accusations, or be abuse reported.

From: someone
You say you're arguing for all content creators - here's a newsflash. I'm a content creator and I don't give a monkeys - if Linden Lab want to let people play Tringo, that's their call and it affects me not one jot. If they put a great big picture of Kermitt above it, promoting him as the creator, again I care not one jot.

Okay, first of all, this is a flaw of logic. You can't disprove what I'm saying by pointing to a positive thing in yourself.

Second of all, I am for content creators - that's why my vendors became free in a time when they were 200-1000L a pop, and then became open source. That's why my PoseCubes will become open source. That's why I'm a Live Helper.

But why am I on trial here for suggesting that Linden Lab should look for ways to be more inclusive for content creators to get things on the teen grid? That's ridiculous, an ad hominem, and a red herring.

Third of all, I'm happy for Kermitt, and I've stated that I think that bringing Tringo to the grid was fine, because there was still limited invitations as it was on trial. Being that the grid was being tried out, that of course enables special circumstance and careful monitoring of content. Now that the teen grid is open to enrollment, I believe so must the ability for content creators to provide stuff for the teen grid. In this way Linden Lab won't have the appearance of favoritism and teens can have more cool stuff.

From: someone
Honestly, you have engineered an argument on tenuous grounds and your reasoning for that argument has been adjudged by some, at least, to be because you feel you're missing out on a slice of the teen commerce market. Refute that publicly rather than getting all full of bluster and talking about slander and abuse reports. End of story.

I've refuted this in ten different ways already, Moopf. End of story.

Or unless you want to up the ante on drama, eh Hiro. And nobody has actually said that it's "wrongdoing", they've said that that might be your motive for starting this. As I said previously, I don't care if that's your motive, I have no problem with that, but if you're going to fluff up your bluster and use words such as slander and abuse report, then at least back up why because you're giving the impression that you wouldn't like to sell and, in fact, are taking great umbrage at the suggestion, but not actually going anywhere near saying that.

From: someone

I have no thirst for proof, I'm simply suggesting that rather than come all holier than thou and start flinging abuse reports and words like slander around, why don't you just refute it. The teen grid does have money, it's just that at the moment people don't have much of it - that may and will change.

You seem to do this a lot when forum discussions don't tend in your favour, like you're walking some higher ground. I find it quite arrogant, to be frank. You're hiding behind a fake "I don't have to prove it" simply because you wish to continue the line and continue the drama. You don't feel that you have to explain, yet you expect others to.

Again, here you are taking things out of context. You say you're doing this for all content creators. I'm a content creator and I'm saying I dont care, so no you're not doing for them all. I'm not disproving your argument, I'm telling you that as a content creator I don't care. Don't take on an argument and say it's for everybody when it's not. Other content creators in this thread don't seem to have an issue with it either, do they.

But if you want to abuse report me - go on, abuse report me. Waste LL's time with your petty little games if you really think you have such weight of argument behind an abuse report. Personally I think it's weak at best, but you never know LL may see things differently. Go on then, put it to the test.

From: someone
But why am I on trial here for suggesting that Linden Lab should look for ways to be more inclusive for content creators to get things on the teen grid? That's ridiculous, an ad hominem, and a red herring.

On trial? Your use of superlatives is baffling at best. Your argument is over-played and not at all concrete. Your issue one of tub-thumping because of some percieved unfairness that's bothering you, but not others. I'm not saying you're alone in being bothered by it, but I guess I feel the minority would be.

From: someone
I've refuted this in ten different ways already, Moopf. End of story.

No you haven't. You've decided not to refute it and skirt round flatly refuting it in order to continue your dramatic "slander and abuse report" agenda. Bizzaro-world, isn't it.

To be honest Hiro, you're quite confusing and appear to just love the drama of it all.

I was but only if you paid into it. I may seem flaky on this because, IMHO i couldnt care less if teens gambled all their stripends away :p . I'm just trying to say that in the most technical sense of it, *most* tringo is gambling, the only exception is if you *dont* pay into the "pot".

I did. Then you started beating a dead horse. You're the only one attempting to stretch this longer than it has to. I've been defending myself.

Red herring. Ad hominem based on opinions.

I have already shown evidence of my intentions. You've done nothing but accuse me with 0 evidence. The next post continuing to accuse me of exploitation without any evidence is getting abuse reported. I don't care if you don't like people abuse reporting. It's the only way to get slanderers to shut up sometimes, because they obviously don't take an explanation as the final answer.

The only thing bizarre is your insistance on derailing this post. Seriously, what the hell have I ever done to you for you to come out, slander me, and then continue to badger me in a thread that has nothing to do with you until you came trolling?

From: someone

I'm sorry you feel so.

Say, here's an idea. Let's start a thread, we'll slander you, and see how you act?

Oh, no, that's a bad idea, isn't it? =(

Because the wager-game (am I right about who wins and by how many points) is among your freinds, the outcome based on a seperate game. If you do not wager, you're not playing. (Yeah, you can still speculate, but you're not gonna get any of the wagers if you're right.)

From: Hiro Pendragon
So ... wanting to exploit people is not considered wrongdoing nowadays? When someone tells me that I'm only about exploiting people, geez, yeah, I take that as slander. What's so incorrect about that?

There is a huge difference between saying that someone wants access to a market and saying that they want to exploit people. I don't think anyone accused you of anything except having commercial interests at heart, and you do seem to wish to use extreme language at the moment.

From: HiroPendragon

I did. Then you started beating a dead horse. You're the only one attempting to stretch this longer than it has to. I've been defending myself.

As far as I can say, all Moopf asked was why you were so wound up about the prospect of items from other creators being in the teen grid, and you haven't, actually, told us, except you have denied you're wanting to exploit people.

From: HiroPendragon

I have already shown evidence of my intentions. You've done nothing but accuse me with 0 evidence. As you know I have been posting in some of the same threads as you today...and you are very ready to accuse others of slander, or being alts, or other drama... being wrong about somebody's motives isn't slanderous, especially when that person had has (and refuses) chances to state their case fairly.

From: HiroPendragon

Whether or not you choose to take advantage of my efforts doesn't diminish my intentions, only the results.

THIS is what I disagree with. Don't say that you are acting with the best interests of all the creators in SL as though it is a selfless act...just state your own interests, worries, or intentions in a straightforward way.

From: HiroPendragon

Once it was clear that the Tringo belonged to a Linden, did the thread have a point? We have already learned that you were unaware that the Lindens had asked for donations of content which would be legitimately in the Teen grid. The Lindens have their own items there...remind me again, if you are not worried about losing out on a commercial market for your wares, and you don't care to donate content... what is the point again?

I personally think Hiro raises some interesting questions. I'd like to see more discussion on the "How's" and "What's" and less on the motivations for Hiro's asking the questions. I'm not selling anything anywhere atm but I'm still curious.

This has to be one of the stupidest threads I've read in a while. The word "prude" comes to mind. Leaking Tringo to the teen grid - the horror. Gambling where you don't have to pay - the horror. Tringo sex with 13 year olds - I can't seem to find the reference.

Also, even though Caliandris made some of the more intelligent posts in this thread, there are no 4x4 wins in tringo. There are 2x2, 2x3 (both ways) and 3x3.

From: Caliandris Pendragon
As the game starts, shapes which are very like the shapes used in Tetris, appear on the central board, and you have to click your card to place the shape. The position is up to you, and your aim is to make a 2x2 or 3x3 or 4x4 square

If you are looking towards commercial exploitation of the teen grid, forget it.

Let's get this straight, eh? All I did was ask a few questions that I felt content creators might be interested in finding an answer for. What act? You're taking this overboard.

Why when someone asks questions is he/she beaten back? Do you see me badgering about some of our prolific survey askers in our forum? No.

From: someone

The ownership of the person was only one possible interesting question in the original post. I'm not going to report all of my comments.

Which I said was still only one issue to consider.

If you seriously want to discuss this, you should take 2 minutes and read what I've alreayd said.

Gambling where you don't have to pay - the horror. .

Since when is just discussing the technicality of gambling "prudish"? I didn't realise we were not allowed to discuss technicalities unless it was "smart". This was just a thought exercise for most of the ones involved in the gambling topic, i believe. There is no need to discourage our discussion. If you dont like it, simply dont participate.
