From: Blueman Steele So what can we do about it? To bring it up just gets us called "complainers". What can we DO to make the welcome area more welcome and prevent the hostility posed by those who act as if they are not over 18 (shhh we won't tell).
Any ideas? I think we've defined the problem... what's the solution? Well complaining on the forums has often gotten noticed, but usually forgoes to a larger "You called me a what??" type of thread. I'd think It's best to let the Lindens know. In whatever means possible, Email, IM's, Posts to Feature suggestion Thread. If you let them know your views on things, I don't see why they wouldn't listen. From my experience they are receptive to such a thing. Crow

From: Fiona Peregrine Exactly. Much like when toddlers pitch temper tantrums repeatedly; eventually the Lindens will act on what's going on in the welcome area because everyone will get tired of watching it over and over. And then there will be claims it's unfair, when it's really just a necessary response to infantile behavior.
Love the new title for the WA Nolan, but it's a bit long don't you think? Hahahah! I can make it an acronym if you like: "MHBFTOMAOTHRTMAVMOMPPA"

My solution is simple: start hanging at the W.A. more! C'mon on back Blue, Crow, Fiona, and everyone else! It'll be less fun if their clique has some resistance. I'm there now! -Flip

Bless you, Nolan *hands you a Kleenex*
Well, I'm torn on the issue of what to do about the WA. It's such a mess right now in some respects I do agree with the idea of locking it down to newbies, mentors, and greeters. Then again, I like to think that we can come up with a solution that doesn't involve that sort of action. Flip has a good point, I am concerned about the first impression of SL it creates. I also agree with you that it's likely this is just one small group of people with alts. Suggestions?

Love you brother man. I'm on it later on tonight then. Are we proposing a WA sit in? Not an asshat? Despise fucktards? Concerned to show off SL's particular brand of inspired lunacy? Bring your hoochie hair and come on down!! LOL
