Really, people, you don't enhance your rep or make people think any more of you by appearing morally superior to everyone else. Why not spend your time trying to post helpful things instead? Such self righteousness really is unnecessary. Kris, this has nothing to do with being "holier than thou" nor trying to limit people's freedom of expression. It has to do with expressing thoughts and responding to the purpose of the thread in a mature and responsible manner. Several of those messages back there had nothing to do with anything other than people taking their RL frustrations and personal tiffs to SL and going for shock effect. In response to another comment about me being new to forums-- thanks for the heads-up, but not hardly. I had just kinda hoped SL was better than the flamer forums that inundate the web. We can be anything we want on SL... we can achieve anything we want. Why bring the attitudes that have likely already messed up our RL into SL? We can do better here... unless we cop an attitude and refuse to do so.

Go ahead and protest in the welcome area all you want but it wont amount to squat. As far as griefers go, I love griefing people, but as most folk know taking away the ability to be griefed is the only solution to dealing with a griefer, we have short attention spans. Thanks for trying to police us, but, you will find it simply will not work, and in fact, it will probably just make things worse (or better, dependant on your point of view).

This thread has had some interesting conversation, but has spiraled into personal attacks, name calling and other non-productive nastiness, as such, I'm closing it.
In the future, please do not use the forums to appeal inworld disciplinary actions. The best way to approach these types of appeals is to send them directly to [email]abuse@secondlife.com[/email]. An appeal is an e-mail or private message explaining your situation and why you believe you should not have been disciplined.
