To be fair, I should probably add this.. As far as I can tell, he's no longer in the group.

From: someone

Spotted in the officers’ list late Tuesday night and asked why he remained a member of a residents’ group after a period in which he evidently left a number of resident-run groups to avoid the appearance of favoritism, Pathfinder said that he was merely in the group to help set up the group’s build outside the Waterhead telehub.

I think I'm throwing in the cards, now.

There obviously is a group of players who hold significant influence with the Lindens.

The question I think is no longer whether or not they exist, but how can we leverage them properly. Because obviously, let's face it, they're not going away.

In away, really, they're a defacto unelected government representing the rest of SL. Kinda interesting, really.

you cannot hold office in any SL groups (although it's fine for you to be a member)

As per Robin Linden.

HAHA, dude... you initially had this titled "Grin".

That was the funny part! It showed how proud of yourself you were!

I noticed that a few days ago and scratched my head, too. A clear violation on LL's part. What's going on?!

Still, curious name for a group. Change one letter, and it spells "Our Anus"

Or maybe, just maybe it is related to the build contests. Didn't they win one of them?

They won the Recruiting Center contest, which has Pathfinder's name all over it as owner. This was the explanation I had, as well.

OMG! A logic explanation! The horror.

Well it has never stopped a Blaze conspiracy before, I doubt it will now.

On to the grassy noll...

Yes, I can see how the name of a Linden in a group membership roster would conclusively prove that a group of players control SL!
The only thing conclusively proven here is that people read in to things exactly what they want to see.

No doubt. Kinda like the straw man you just read into this thread.

You know what's really creepy? Ouranos uses Pathfinder's officership to track the IPS numbers of other Second Life users. With this IPS numbers, they can track any resident across the internets and find out their social security number, place of work, even whether or not they want butter on their scones!

It's chilling. CHILLING, I say.

Yes this was because of the recruitment center contest. Pathfinder was officer of that group so he could help them set up their build near the Waterhead telehub.

What's funny is, this is public information available at the same location where Blaze got that image. That is to say, Blaze posted what appeared to be an incriminating image under the title "grin" or "interesting" but didn't post the freely available explaination.

blaze burns Pathfinder, Aimee burns blaze, therefore:

PATHFINDER IS AIMEE, THE HEAD OF THE FIC PIMPLE!

Grin. Check again, I did. Nice attempt to discredit me without looking into the facts, though, Aimee.

The fact is.. there is a FIC.

I mean, really lets face it. SL is obviously going to turned to people for their insight when they have proven to be

a) very smart
b) highly talented
c) very dedicated to SL

Seriously folks.. they have to. These people obviously can provide insight that joe random user who just logged onto SL can not.

I think we all need to stop fighting the fact that "FIC" exists. It does, the question now becomes how can it be properly integrated into SL community without the obvious abuses that will occur.

Wow Blaze, when you make it clear like that, we just all have to get on the Blaze train to victory. Blaze FTW!

Anyways.. llPath regularly hangs out in IRC and so do a lot of other lindens.

IRC is not clearly advertised and only a narrow group of people who follow the forums no that it exists.

Arguing that there is not a group of people who have the opportunity to influence the Lindens above and beyond what other people do is .. clearly wrong.
