ROOOOOOCCCKKKKKK ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN !!!!!!!!

I saw this link on a site. I have taken a tour of the island. Our fellow residents did an excellent job. The islands are small and intimate unlike the mainland. They are designed to teach fiscal responsiblity in an extremely fun and interactive way - according to the press release that i read. hehehehehehehe

Wells Fargo made a bold step into our world, and I think that is a good thing. You'll even notice some of our fellow residents inside of StageCoach Island selling their designer goods:) I read in the paper that the company that hired bedazzle, swivel media, is amazed with their work - KUDOS!!!!

Roger:) for this week anyway....hehehehehehehehehe

WOOT ya' go................

This plays nicely with the earlier post re: learning

I think this is kinda cool. It is their own private thingy.....not space invaders:) Nice to see anything and everything possible to teach.

Thanks for posting, but I'll wait to see what the Linden policy is on using that "back door" before I try it. Knowing the Bedazzle team, I'm sure Stagecoach Island is spectacular, and I'd love to see it, but I'm not about to break any rules by doing it. It is, afterall, private property. Lindens, if you're paying atention, is this Kosher?

Both the download site and multi-use code mentioned by Roger are OK to use. You will not be violating the Second Life Terms of Service by entering. Enjoy.

Ok knowing how beautifully done the actual project is, I have to ask, why is such a cheesy entrance page used for it? That entry page is god awful. First impressions are important, and right off the bat, it hardly gives a great one.

Cristiano,

The page you are seeing is a backdoor. It's not the official entrance.

where is the password sent to?
09-26-2005 18:49
After signing up, asking for a username and password, but *not* asking for an email address, there's a page which says in effect:

"Don't worry about forgetting you're password - We just emailed it to you."

Emailed to whom ?

I ask just in case anyone is using a name similar to their SL account and using the same password.

ReallyRick's Trip Around StageCoach Island
09-26-2005 18:59
So I saw the forum post and decided to head on over the StageCoach to check it out. WOW Very nicely done island! I mean REALLY.

Here is my little hastily thrown together picture tour.

First an overview of the entire layout.

Second, one of my fav designers Beryle Greenarce from Swell Second Life. OMG L$2 for a shirt...faits.

Next up a recognizeable landmark...PREEN by Aimee Weber.

The Island night club called "Ambience"

Lastly a nice little play toy thing that do what you push the buttons to make ot do.

More pics.
First is a bunch of "noobs" who turn out to be SL forums posters all gathering in front of said ATM.

Then a nice shot of the "Midnight Stores" Torrid and Mistress.

And finally the Mall. :)

Cool island. I can't make deposits at any of the ATMs. When I try to use them, the spew out SQL errors.

Everything's pretty, but it seems to break easily.

Seems to be some technical issues that still need to be cleaned up but it looks great otherwise.

Congratulations to Bedazzle on a job well done.

Fargo n00bs!!
09-26-2005 22:08
I got frozen for making a 10 meter physics enabled sphere and tossing it around.

Later I pointed the paintball gun away from the paintball area and got kicked off for an hour.

Several times the local cops, called Fargo, said things to me as if I had seen what they had typed. In some cases I was too busy being bad, I mean playful, too many windows open, etc. to see the chat, in other cases they simply hadn't been in chat range when they started typing. So when you first start reading their words they are getting testy and they are saying things that from your perspective aren't true. Not real professional, I guess they must be n00bs.

Everybody has to be a n00b sometimes, even Fargos.

Hi! If you're one of the lucky ones who got into Stagecoach Island, please be courteous and understanding of the Fargos (think Lindens for Stagecoach Island) and the rules they have. The terms of service and their other rules of conduct are different from the Main Grid. What a Fargo says, goes!

Also, please be aware that Stagecoach Island visitors are not able/allowed to build. Building or otherwise disrupting this project may cause you to meet the business end of a Fargo's combat boot and/or stilleto pump!

Meh. Just like any other zoned build except with a pro-ATM corporate theme.

One might not be allowed to build but there are several areas that are build enabled - the edit option doesn not appear in the pie menu, but you can press control 4 and create prims and size them. You can script; one script I tried ran but did not work, which was good because it was the sort of script that shouldn't work there. If it had worked I'd have had to file a bug report or contact Lieutenant Worf in Security. I tried putting an X-flight script into the basic chair I was wearing as an attachment and I didn't seem to get any result but it is possible I was getting frozen at about that time.

It seems to me that if you are supposed to put on an attachment it would be better to just not be able to put on an attachment. Easier for the supervisors.

They weren't any signs or indications that one should not build in the areas where you can, and nothing in the instructions required to find the paintball gun said turning 180 degrees and firing it was any sort of offense. It's not damage enabled, the paintballs don't have discernable momentum, and they vanish instantly, so any supposed damage they do is, umm, virtually non-existent.

I hope they don't have trouble with uppity young men. You know how boys are.
