Then I bought a 1024, I think it was, from Garnet, who had acquired the First Land on the other side of me.

Let me just make it plain that I bought what was First Land to help out a newbie who was suffering constant griefing (not from Coco).

But Coco, that's for right now. What if down the line, there are more new players and there are limted amount of first land?

I wanted another 512 when I got my first land and there was some around me, but I understood that I am one person and even if I made alts, they still didn't make me more than one person. If I had First Land, or Land for the Landless, then I would not be able to get First Land again, because it would no longer be First Land, it would be Second Land.

Because, I never thought it was against the rules to buy 512 with each of your new accounts. At the time Coco was looking, there was a dearth of first land. People were saying people were creating throwaway alts for the purpose of buying up all the First Land. People were saying it had to do with trial accounts. Then we found out at least some of it had to do with an exploit, and people getting to buy First Land they weren't qualified for.

Since then, there has been no dearth of First Land. And I've assumed it is back to business as usual, which is First Land for every new player. And by new player, I was thinking of "new real accounts."

I always read the First Land to mean, as for new accounts. I never read it to mean, as being for a bunch of alt accounts you create for the purpose of buying up the first land, or referring yourself for the referral bonus, or anything like that.

Are you really this obtuse Strawberrycocoanuts??

That is NOT my name and we also don't have to have grasping for strawbearries, Pandastrong. Are you really so obtuse Lecktor, that after all I have said in this lengthy thread, you still don't get what I'm saying?

I wouldn't have to be obtuse to not understand you. You make no sense.

As Beau said, and I am pretty sure he is correct, those alts count against your max, whether you delete them or set them up painting elephants pink.

That is my understanding of it as well, Nolan. Which means they build five accounts per person - with all the perks thereof - into the system.

What they DON'T build into the system is the ability to get around this, by creating a lot of fake alts, with different credit cards, different ISP's, and different names and such, to get around it and then delete the fake alts.

"Dear, me, sir! If I'd known you'd think I was a lunatic because I urinated upon you and subsequently named the puddle Herbet, I'd never have considered you as a target!"

You mean, one isn't supposed to refer to one's character and its alts in the third person? Or differentiate what one did one one account, as opposed to another?

Unless one is a lunatic?

News to me.

Which, let me add, I appreciated, because it enabled me to then expand my own land.

Dogspot, I am confused as to what this has to do with First Land. If you are saying that a number of different people are responding, then I'm really confused. Coco asked for people's opinions. Shoud there be a limit to the number of responses? Should I have not responded? Should Coco not be responding to people and raising questions that other people have to respond to?

All of this seems to be the nature of discussion.

She doesn't get it, April. I suspect she and Madame Neva and Ms. 'The rules are mine to define' will be the fastest of friends in no time.

Actually, she's still trying to stem the blood from her last bad choice and somehow, she thinks this is a good place to do it.

It seems it would be painful to be that wrong, that often... doesn't it?
