After taking a premium account I looked around for the famous First Land, but it is nowhere to be found ( except for some other new residents that forgot to change the name and description )...
Did I look in the wrong places or are there simply no First Land plots available ? If so, I hope they will be back soon because I really would like to buy one...
thanks,
Margeaux

Right now there is no First Land plots for sale... but there should be some soon, since it appears LindeLab adds some more regularly (weekly ?).
(BTW did you know that your 500L$ PRemium weekly stipend can pay for 1024 sqm of land with some rental services ?)

Odd, i get the none found aswell.. I would just wait it out, they will probably add some. Trust me the wait isnt bad.. it used to be you had to post on the forums and they picked a plot for you.. yes nothing like getting your first land plot on the side of a mountain at a 90 degree angle 5 days after you requested it This new system is..GREAT!

Sorry Margeaux! Like others have stated, just keep an eye open for First Land. It does come up fairly quickly and you will not find land as cheap elsewhere. Unfortunatly, some established residents also do take first land with their alts, so you just have to be quick! Hopefully some new plots will be released soon!

Also when you search for first land search for all land that is 512 meters and costs 512$L, I was told this when I was looking to buy some (it took half a week to get more, it was added late on tuesday so I think they add it on maintenance day) because apparantly otherwise not all first land might show up on your find.

I'm thinking, I'll create an alt. I need some first land to add on to my shop. That's ethical...isn't it?

From: Margeaux Mirabeau Thanks Torley, Jesrad and billy for your swift replies and welcomes I will have to be patient then ( something I am not particularly good at ). Margeaux If you want, I can set you up with a temporary plot of land until more first land comes available (for free). Unfortunately, the plot that I can offer you isn't quite as cozy as a 512m first land plot. It would likely be ~ 15,000m. If that interests you, IM me in game, I will be on at ~ 4 PM PST tonight.

Very funny. Yes, it has me feeling guilty, because I thought when I watched for quite some time on Strawbearry that the land was plentiful and would be for quite some time, and that my Cocoanut experience had been something of an aberration. But it also makes me MAD that you want me to feel guilty. After all, I didn't feel guilty when I got the First Land with my alt, because as far as I knew, there was nothing WRONG with it. To repeat: Nothing wrong with getting First Land with each new, actual, permanent account (as opposed to buying a lot of temporary accounts for the purpose of buying up all the first land, then deleting). What's more, it's not up to me to release First Land. If the Lindens are going to allow all our premium accounts to have First Land, then they should release enough land. If NOT, then they should SAY so. Not leave it up to the keepers of the old flame here on the forums to let everyone know that they have committed some kind of horrible crime by doing this, even though it seems like a no-brainer thing to do: Pay for another account, GET another account. Something about supply and demand escapes everybody here. The supply of land is I N F I N I T E. The Lindens release that supply to meet the demand. Built into the game is the ability to buy First Land with a new account. One would assume that this means First Land for every new account. And why won't they answer Nolan's question on the Hotline? There are certainly plenty of wishy-washy ways to answer the question if they want one, such as, "Of course, you COULD buy First Land with your alt, but we'd rather you didn't." I wish the Lindens would answer that question sitting there on the Hotline, and with the same answer they gave that guy on the game who told me he purchases five accounts (the total allowed to any individual) and bought first land with each so that his lands, and his wife's, would be contiguous: "It is perfectly okay to buy First Land with each of your accounts." Because that is what they told him, and that is what I assumed - as regards real, actual, permanent accounts. So yeah, you got me to feel guilty, but for no really good reason, and not because I SHOULD. It's not like I managed to do this individual out of his land. JUST LIKE it's not that any other real, permanent account did me out of my first land on Cocoanut, when I was waiting for it. In fact, having given this some consideration over the past few days, along with the discussion about grouping for the 10% land discount, I have come to the conclusion that people use "original intention" to declare using any feature of the game they don't like as an "exploit" or a "loophole" or gaming the system. Then accuse those of us who did it as lacking ethics, or being hypocritical. So yeah, you got me to feel guilty, whoopteedo, fifty points for you. But I don't DESERVE to feel guilty. If I'd thought I was "taking land away" from other people, I would never had done it.. Now somebody explain to me why the Lindens won't clarify this issue for once and for all. After all, they are the ones who have all the land, and decide when to release it, so if ANYBODY is to blame for preventing new players from getting First Land, it is them. coco

Cocoa, I defy your land is infinite statement. Each and every sim that is brought online is a new physical server. i.e. another computer that has to be brought online and networked.

Matter of fact, I realized that, Hannibal, when I said it. I am assuming that the fees from the premium accounts cover that. coco

From: Lecktor Hannibal Cocoa, I defy your land is infinite statement. Each and every sim that is brought online is a new physical server. i.e. another computer that has to be brought online and networked. Not to mention cost money. If everyone bought First Land with their alts, there would be even less for each unique account. It's just not fair. There's no way around it. I'm sorry Coco, I've tried to see your side on a lot of issues, but this one seems very clear and straightforward. Once you buy land, you can't be considered buying it for the first time any time after that.

Ah, yes, Bill was at it again.
Martin watched with helpless amusement as a Tuxedo-clad waiter glided away from the kitchen and into the crush of the party. Watching Bill and the waiter intersect was like a crass re-enactment of a beautiful astronomical ballet.
Just as the waiter reached the table with his burden of canape, Bill arrived and scooped no less than two thirds of the treats onto his plate. Bill zipped away as the waiter looked on helplessly. What could he do? It wasn't as though he'd received any specific instructions to bar people from hogging the buffet. The waiter heaved a prissy little sigh and returned to the kitchen from whence he came.
Martin shrugged and shook his head, laughing softly to himself, as guests cautiously approached the raided table. Demand had overtaken supply like a corvette passing a tricycle. The remaining unfed guests, bound by their politeness, waited and watched each other, hoping someone else would be the first to snatch for some food.
Elsewhere, the party raged on, oblivious of the vultures in its midst.
Not that they would have cared that much if they knew, mused Martin, silently. But it was the principle of the thing.

I see nothing wrong with buying first land with each premium account. LL just needs to release more and stop selling the sims at auction. imho
