Well someone let Catherine know then (since I'm muted ) that I meant her no harm. Most of you who have responded here know me in world as well and I feel certain know that I am far from being a hateful person. I just don't understand people who are so quickly hypocritical.

Chris, we all know how passionate Cat is. Probably moreso than just about anyone here, but Cat has been through this before (the firestorm and eventual implosion), as we know. With that and your statement above, it begs the question: why do it again and again?

I personally have a difficult time with people (not specifically Cat) who get extremely worked up over an issue *before* it is really an issue. I just don't understand why someone would place that much stress on themselves willingly.


Answering this for myself, since I was one of the few (elite, pehaps? ) who were specifically called out the last time around, I jump in to play the devil's advocate -or- to correct the person posting when they are distributing bad information.

Cat has an incredible amount of passion for the idealistic view of SL as a group of creators and contributors, but she apparently has a great dislike for the profit aspect of SL. We all have our opinions on this, but I've always maintained that SL is large enough for both. At times, I've been extremely frustrated with what I view as Cat's inflexibility on that issue. It appears to me that she views this extremely black and white with no room for any divergance and I feel if there is one thing that could bring SL to its knees, it is the unwillingness of residents to allow all forms of enjoyment in SL whether that be selling land for a profit, hosting sex parties, or crafting beautiful creations for the community to enjoy.

Blah blah blah.... for the millionth time... I'm NOT ALBY!!!! Though I can see how you might get us confused. Let me differentiate:

I have NEVER replied to any of the heated threads that Catherine has started, in regards to the bandwagon effect. However, during the last Catherine cycle, I engaged her in what I perceived to be an extremely derogatory comment she made about a segment of the popluation. Other than that, I have always felt a certain camaraderie with her, specifically due to some *land* issues that we both endured. She even offered me some land to use, which I thought was an absolutely amazing gesture.

However, I felt real shitty when she lumped me into the "people that ruined her Christamas" lists / signs, when I was NOWHERE near the threads that she felt bullied in.

I appreciate Catherine's passion, and I even commended her on it after she labeled me as a bully to the SL Community. It just would be nice to have her clear up her intentions for throwing me under the bus!

Hola my cute Panda...I am the biggest bully in SL.

Personally, I admire Cat for her passion and her commitment to non-commercialism. I share many of her views, although not to the degree that she carries them. I've read her posts throughout the last year, and though I've seen her attack, I've seen her attacked far more often. And her attacks are usually the by-product of that same passion, and not any true meaness of character.

At times I wish there were many more folks with the passion and courage that she displays. But instead I see far too many Albys and Wall Streets in the world, which is a sad thing.

Besides..I've always been attracted, often to my dismay, to emotionally taut and slightly off-kilter women.

I hope we meet in-world someday Catherine.

Just let things flow off you if possible. Nothing in these forums is worth a sleepless night or an aching heart.

Catherine may be nice, but she does say some VERY mean things on here. I was nice to her at first, but after actions that have been pointed out before and beaten to death, I can't take her hypocricy any more.

Keep muting people Catherine! Soon everyone will be muted, you'll have nothing to read, and you'll leave... FOR REAL.

Although I've already asked everyone once to please keep personal attacks off of this thread, there is still a barrage of attacks here. Please keep personal attacks off the forums. If you still feel the need to "bully" each other, please try using the forums instant messaging system or speak to each other in-world.
