From: Kendra Bancroft And it amazes me that the rightwing get away with calling working men and women elitest while bending knee to their silver spoon corporate Masters. You're only working because we haven't been able to kill welfare...yet. Oh, and when the GOP retains control of the government in the midterms, I'll buy the first round so you can drown your disappointment... ...and the sound of my victorious laughter. -Kiamat Dusk

Wait wait, if Kendra is elitist, does that make Bush super-ultra-hyper-mega-massively elitist? Or is there some kind of word that can describe someone so much more elitist than someone else? Damn, I need a political thesaurus.

From: Kendra Bancroft Just wait til 2006 elections. I think "ya'll" in for a shock. That's been said of mid-term elections countless times in the past. Bluntly, I'll believe it if/when I see it. Mind you, if your reply is lumping me in with "ya'll", your aim needs work. I haven't voted for a Bush yet, going back to Bush Sr (about the time I became legal to vote), nor do I vote/agree straight party line, but for those with whom I share beliefs (or, increasingly commonly, vote against those with whom I don't share beliefs, like those who dismiss others who disagree with overglorified ad hominem attacks, calling them beered-up redneck hicks that regularly beat their barefoot constantly-pregnant wives), regardless of political party membership. And it's "y'all", by the way. Contraction of " you" and " all". [edit] If you really need a political label to attach to me, I'm one of those who have no desire to control others, as per Lazarus Long. From: Lazarus Long Political tags -- such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth -- are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. The former are idealists acting from highest motives for the greatest good of the greatest number. The latter are surly curmudgeons, suspicious and lacking in altruism. But they are more comfortable neighbors than the other sort.

Only the first paragraph of my reply was directed to you, Kendra, as frankly I have no idea where you stand on what. My apologies for not making it clear.

Thanks for the clarification on how to write y'all. Honestly I thought it was an abbreviation of "ya all". We say "ya" instead of you in Brooklyn

Actually, I tend to think that what will happen is that the Republicans and Democrats have always been playing dirty politics, just happens the Republicans are in majority at a time when technology can distribute better information to the majority of the public.
I have always found it interesting that the fight between blue and red states inevitably comes down to population type. Rural populations tend to vote Republican, urban populations tend to vote Democratic. Oddly enough, rural populations do not have access to information at the same quantity as the urban populations, which makes me wonder about education levels across the country.

From: Kendra Bancroft I didn't find allegations of a minor act of vandalism that nobody was a convicted over to quite measure up to the vast amouint of info I provided on a concentrated effort by the Republican Party to block votes in Ohio.
But if you think five kids allegedly slashing some tires but not found guilty is big news --okay. Governor Taft committed Voter Fraud by providing only one voting machine for every 1000 Democrats and 100 voting machines for every 1 republican.

Boy George W. Bush is a bible thumping liar. Magnum, I never thought I would agree with you on something before now. It appears I was wrong in that presumption. I think this government has lied to the American people more than any previous government.
