What kind of a list is this? Let me frame it another way. Put whoever you want on that list. The only people that could possibly be non-offensive RMs must have never posted or be so new as to not have made a total ass of themselves and PO'd half the forums like the rest of us. There are a few notable exceptions and I suggest those people run screaming before LL comes knockin'. ![]() _____________________

Hi, Steve. Nice website! That website at one time was good but not now. ![]() _____________________

I really think Magnum should be moderator. Then we'd all win!

Nope, looks like she already nerfed it. Classy. No, I nerfed it. Started to put that I would do it just as a joke, then decided not to even do that. I say, screw the whole thing. coco _____________________

I've never even heard of half of them ![]() I would ask what the point of this comment is but you probably wouldn't answer honestly so allow me to interject my own useless and uncalled for observation into this thread: My cat's breath smells like cat food. |

Belaya, you didn't tell me you had a cousin! ![]() It was news to me as well. I suppose most people on Mars are related. It's that sort of planet, if you catch my drift. |

My cat's breath smells like cat food. That's really quite nice. My dog's breath is a miasma formed of smells you had never wished to get up close and personal with. _____________________

Well it's an interesting shift in the selection. The original 15 were, in my opinion, some of the finest, most experienced SLers. This is why I made it clear that my beef was with the ResMod system and not with the ResMods themselves.
The new batch seems to have less familiar faces. This isn't a bad thing of course, and I think it's safe to say that winning the ResMod selection will make them all very familiar faces very soon! I think it's only fair to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they are outstanding individuals. But the contrast between round 1 and round 2 DOES make me wonder what the the future resmods will look like, say, six months from now. _____________________

I fear the day Amy Weebler is a ResMod. ![]() Hrmmm. I guess if Amy Weebler were a ResMod, we could expect extortion (or she will move your important event threads to someplace hidden like the SL Volunteers & Education section.) PLUS she would accept "donations" to creatively interpret the TOS/CS in your favor. But I have it on good authority the Lindens will never let this happen ![]() _____________________

I would like to take a moment to welcome the following Resident Moderators who were ushered into the community without a peep from the community team. Barbarra Blair Elle Pollack Euterpe Roo Jana Fleming Millie Thompson Steve Steed Strife Onizuka Do you guys have any stories, opinions, or points of view about the program to share with us? We would love to get your perspective. Maybe the only way the selection team can come up with members without forum baggage is to select mostly unknown members who do not participate in the forums. Let the blind show the way? HAH _____________________

Or maybe LL is letting people use their alts so they can avoid the public name calling and judgement that seems to have been going on?
If LL selects someone and they request to do it with an alt account, would they allow that? _____________________

If LL selects someone and they request to do it with an alt account, would they allow that? My guess is YES, but I don't think that's what is going on here (some of these ResMods have been quietly active in other areas of SL). But I suspect the ResMods + the Community Team have/are discussing the use of alts as a standard ResMod policy. The Lindens seem intent on following through with this program come hell-or-high-water, so anything they can do to abate criticism they are going to do. The question is, what will cause them LESS grief ... ResMod Transparency allowing everybody to see who-is-doing-what-to-who-and-why, or a ResMod program cloaked in secrecy? Tough call. _____________________

I just say congrats to the people who are doing this and even if I ever have had a difference of opinion with any of them, I'm sure they'll still do a good job (because differences of opinion between residents has nothing to do with the resmod system and how it's supposed to work).
I dunno about any of you, I did volunteer early on and having seen how rabid some people have been toward the original set of ResMods (not to mention the new set - although one surely hasn't already been called a bitch by anyone), I sure as hell wouldn't want it now. Here's to keeping your sanity. ![]() _____________________

You can sign up here: /203/f3/84873/1.html But be warned, they seem to select a tiny % of their Resident Moderators from the people who apply. From what I can see on this list, Strife Onizuka was the only person who signed up. Oh man, not again! I didn't want to go through the list to check. Even though ignorance is bliss, thanks for going to the trouble, Aimee. _____________________
