War Has Been Declared, choose your side.

While I don't believe that the current war is over religion alone, I cannot agree that its role now is merely an excuse, nor can I agree that is has played only that role throughout history. There's a lot to be said about what it means to believe wholeheartedly in extraordinary claims without evidence, especially when those claims are the kinds of claims that can be found in books like the Bible and the Koran (to name just two), but I can't give a very adequate treatment of it here. After all, that's why someone wrote a book about it -- because it's really a book's worth of a subject.

No, I think that is worse than the support of Israel. If the U.S. and Europe are supporting palestinians financially and militarily, then they truly are out of their minds. Are we funding both sides of this insane conflict? Are we trying to make it easy for these people to fight each other?

I'm looking at some sources. I can't find anything with a quick search showing that we are arming any palestinian groups except maybe through corruption, but you are right that they are sending a great deal of financial aid to the Palestinian Authority. I personally think we should pull all money out completely. Palestinians may starve, but maybe they can convince the idiot bombers among them to stop blowing up their neighbors.

Both the Palestinian and Israeli governments are vicious. Neither are innocent and both have broken hundreds of promises. In my eyes, they are about the same.

In your original post, you call out the Palestinians as people and say that supporting them is supporting killing every man, woman and child in Israel. That IS a generalization and racist, Billy. I didn't make anything up, Billy. I read your post - you should try re-reading it yourself and ask yourself, could "support the Palestinians... you support killing every man, woman and child in Israel" lead someone to believe that ALL Palestinians are killers of some sort? Ya, it could.

I also find it disgusting that you, evidentally, feel that all Palestinians support violence. It shows you know very little about the people of Palestine.

Billy's statement was not racist. It may have been a broad generalization, but he didn't say anything about anybody's race. If I said "Americans are fat" it wouldn't be racist either. It would be a broad generalization. Making sweeping statements about a country isn't racist. Billy was saying that the Palestinians chose their government and are responsible for that choice. The ruling party of the Palestinian Authority is Hamas. Hamas' official policy is the destruction of the state of Israel. Hamas is a known terrorist organization.

And if you think both Israel and the Palestinians are the same, then explain a something for us. Why hasn't the PA ever arrested and convicted a Palestinian for engaging in terrorist attacks on Israelis, but Israel has arrested and convicted Israelis who have attacked Palestinians? Why does the elected government of the PA not recognize the existence of Israel, but the government of Israel recognizes the PA?
