Ah! I stand corrected. There are some foreign news sources such as the BBC, that do provide superior world-news coverage compared to US sources.

Watching FOX news is like wearing a t-shirt that says I'm with stupid with an arrow pointing up at yourself.

CNN is stupid. So is MSNBC. Fox is the worst of them all. It's propaganda, not news. It appeals to the worst aspects of nationalism and partisanship. It tells people what they want to hear instead of objective fact. As a result it is extremely popular which is why CNN and MSNBC are turning into clones of it. Vacuous talking heads spouting biased speculation and misinformation isn't news. It's pathetic pandering for ratings.

Absolutely. Myself, I have to wait and listen to Amy Goodman on Democracy Now! before I can honestly say I understand a situation from all sides.

I see no rational justification for the Israeli over-reaction. Unfortunately war makes for 'good' news while peace always slips under the radar unnoticed.

The terrorists crossed the border with the help of the Lebanon and Palestine governments. It may not of been an active assistance but not stopping it is a form of assistance. They killed and took captive Israel citizens and fled back to their countries. A nation is obligated to protect its nationals and residents. They are doing that and nothing more than that.

I am sure that Israel does not want to hurt these people as well but the terrorists have set up among them and want to use them as human shields. All I am saying is that doing nothing is suicide. If my forefathers were stronger things would be different today. They were weak and we pay the price today. It is not just about today but for tomorrow as well. Being weak does not lead to peace but war and enslavement. History has shown this time and time again.
