Buddy, you're out of your league here. I was calling the predictions of the people that said incorrect things before the war idiotic, not the poster. Not even the reporters themselves. Maybe you should go argue with someone down on your level.

i'm gonna do just that, have fun.

You don't agree with the OP. You then say that he reads too much whiny stuff and it must have confused him (attack on his intelligence - but trying so hard to be subtle). Should I keep spelling it out for you?

No, that wasn't an attack on his intelligence. Intelligent people get confused all the time. You really think someone has to be stupid to get confused? If that's the case, then everyone that has ever lived has been stupid.

But you're a mind reader, you know what I really meant.

How to conduct future wars
01-03-2006 13:23
All the worlds leaders enter a special UFC tournament, the victor rules the world for a year till the next one

No civilian casualties, and we get to watch politicians beat the crap out of each other

That would work for me

You apparently don't know much about Taco. Believe me, If he wanted to, he could fully discredit your assinine postings.

This gets my vote for the most ironic post of the year, so far.

Your name wins the Nash Award for the Most Appropriate Avatar Name of 2005, by the way.

I never claimed to be a mind reader. You somehow read that in my posts.

You claim to not be a troll... but when I read your posts, all I can think of is "troll." It's all subjective.

No, I know you're not good at arguing.

You argue like a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest.

Hahahahahaha, does the one-legged man have less arguing ability because his leg is gone? Is your brain in your leg?

I'm not going around calling people names. It does tend to remove any credibility to any of your arguments.

I did call you a troll a while ago, I admit. It was when you were in the throes of calling someone idiot or jerk or dumbass or something like that. Seriously, if you want people to take you seriously, keep the name-calling to a minimum and do try to stay on subject.

I know I went off subject... but you started it (neener, neener, neeeeener :p)

The people that I call names will never give me any credibility, no matter what. There are a lot of far lefties here. Those folks are filled with hate for anyone who doesn't hate America and George Bush. Even if I just said that I like Bush and America, the far lefties would hate me and call me a troll. So I may as well have some fun with it and rip them up.

Usually at places like this there are at least a few people that aren't all filled with silly ideas about the world, but I think you guys chased them all away or something. They would have come out of the woodwork by now.

You mean a country that turned out 1000s of Sherman tanks and P-51 Mustangs in a very short period of time, 60 years ago, can't whip up some armor in a reasonable amount of time? Armor is not rocket science you know. But then again, this administration can't react to a devastating national disaster in a reasonable amount of time, so we shouldn't be surprised I suppose.

Well yeah but 60 years ago we were building tanks and rationing rubber and steel and putting a huge protion of our GNP inot winning the war. Take a look at Pictures of Koln following world war two, and take a look at pictures in fallujah. We have fallen inot the very very dangerous notion that wars can be fought "clean" with few casualties and without destrying civilian property" 60 years ago we flattened cities when we took them.
Also what we produced at the start of the war, in say 1941-42 was much less than farther along, and this was at a time when there were few hold-ups in the procurement process, and silly regulations did not prohibit troops making field modifcations to the vehicles.

You know this could have been an interestinfg thread before you hijacked it to turn it into yet another showboat for your own sniping. In gerneal thread have much better discussion when you stay on topic.

Hijacked? By replying to the first post with my own ideas? Maybe you just don't like it when people with different beliefs than your own are allowed to talk about those beliefs. That's pretty closed-minded, man. You should be more open to new ideas.

No its not your ideas but your conduct that is objectionable.

Nothing you've said is new. It's like listening to a re-broadcast of Fox News content ad nauseum.

You just keep on parroting, it'll get you that attention you're craving.

I think a big reason many give you no credibility is because you fall back on the personal attacks. Let's bring up a blast from the past:

You're the one that's a jerk.

/112/72/78811/1.html

That is one of your very first posts. I'm sure you thought you were being funny... but as a "newbie" it's not the way to be taken seriously. I'm sure you really don't care what other people think of you, but if you don't want people "whining" at you about your posts... name calling is not the way to go about it. Your use of "Nolan" isn't helping your cause, either.

As for Bush supporters, there are plenty of them on the forums. They also put forth their opinions, with little to no name-calling.

I wasn't talking to you, "Nolan". You really think anything you've said on here is new?

The hippy hatred of Fox News is very funny to me. It really really pisses you guys off that you no longer have a lock on the news media, huh? You're obsessed with Fox News.

Seriously, if I am making so many personal attacks, you'd think it would be really easy for you to find an example of it where I wasn't making a fairly obvious joke. I guess I shouldn't have made that joke, I didn't realize this was such a tremendously sensitive message board. But by the way you act like the only thing I do is use personal attacks, you really shouldn't have any problem finding good examples of that.
