Fair enough, we had people surrendering to reporters in that conflict didn't we? So if it worked well then it should work well next time. Anything you might do different to increase effectiveness of those tactics?

Yes there were many many surrenders once the bombing missions slowed/stopped and the ground movement began. Differences I would add but don't know how it would be implemented would be to insure targetting intel is absolutely flawless. Utopian I know but that is the only thing I can think of that would've made it more effective. As it were it was pretty darn good.

You could try using what I do, experience.
We didn't have the needed armour in Bosnia. Guess what sport, that was way more than 4 years ago.

The US had casualties in Bosnia?

Try your hardest to shut down the ideas that you cannot accept. You will never win.

(aside from your current tactic of "im smart, you are stoopid, kill the browns";)

I'm sorry that you're not bright enough to go look through the thread yourself. Do you have some sort of nurse that takes care of you and feeds you? Maybe she can look for you.

The armor doesn't match our might? Oh, you're talking about the armor on the vehicles? Because the US should have just magically known 4 years ago that IEDs would be a big issue? You should be a hindsight general.

You really don't ever read the stories about how things are progressing in Iraq? If that's the case, you're avoiding them on purpose. Did you read any of the stories about the election last month? About the Iraqi security forces being trained? I'm not going to bother going to find links, you can use Google if you really want to find them.

Before both of the wars, there were quite a few articles written that predicted millions of dead Afghan's and Iraqi's, that we'd never take Baghdad, that we'd lost 20,000 soldiers during the invasion. Again, I'm not going to bother looking things up for you so you can dismiss them and call me a troll. It's not worth my time. Use Google.

Did you bother checking to see how long the vehicles have been without armor?

Trying to have a discussion with you is darn near impossible - you dismiss everyone else by calling them whiny babies (or whatever your choice is today) and then try to assert yourself as the alpha. Maybe you should start trolling the Yahoo news boards, you'll find more like you there.

No, I didn't check to see how long the vehicles have been without armor because it's not very relevant. We realized that we needed to uparmor the hummers in 2003. Do you think it's possible to instantly manufature armor kits for thousands of vehicles instantly?

You're just imagining that I "dismiss everyone else by calling them whiny babies". I only call whiny people whiny. If someone makes a somewhat intelligent point that I disagree with, I tell them why I disagree. When people whine and call me a troll instead of addressing anything I've said, I'll call them whatever they want.

Where did you tell anyone why you disagree without dismissing them as an idiot or some other such name? I must have missed that somewhere.

You mean a country that turned out 1000s of Sherman tanks and P-51 Mustangs in a very short period of time, 60 years ago, can't whip up some armor in a reasonable amount of time? Armor is not rocket science you know. But then again, this administration can't react to a devastating national disaster in a reasonable amount of time, so we shouldn't be surprised I suppose.

Why is that not relevant? That is something that any normal person would think to be relevant. People got hurt in unarmored vehicles 5 years before the invasion, didn't they think the risk was still there? Or did they think that somehow the problems had magically disappeared?

Where did you tell anyone why you disagree without dismissing them as an idiot or some other such name? I must have missed that somewhere.

Nope, it came across as dismissive and arrogant. I give you credit for not actually calling him anything. Maybe you should look into purchasing this book:

Oh, now your rules have suddenly changed. You said that I call everyone that I disagree with an idiot and that's offer no arguments. Now that I showed you one of my many posts where I didn't call someone an idiot and did offer arguments, you change what you were looking for. Typical.

Nope, not at all. I said it still carried the same tone as the posts where you insulted people for not agreeing with you. I know I didn't use those exact words... but it still comes off the same way.

Ah, another mind reader. What's the tone that you have a problem with, the "I disagree with what you said in your post" tone? Oh well.

Buddy, you're out of your league here. I was calling the predictions of the people that said incorrect things before the war idiotic, not the poster. Not even the reporters themselves. Maybe you should go argue with someone down on your level.

You don't agree with the OP. You then say that he reads too much whiny stuff and it must have confused him (attack on his intelligence - but trying so hard to be subtle). Should I keep spelling it out for you?
