I wrote a report on 1791 judicary act, got a B+

Try harder

Then your instructor kindly overlooked you getting the year wrong.

No it doesn't

Do you know what that particular ruling is about?

Roe V Wade is not a law. Call a lawyer and ask them. OMGZ!!!!!! This is like arguing with a toddler.

I don't think you do, Witchhunter

Well, so far, you've argued for the existance of a bill that doesn't exist, demonstrated that you don't understand the concept of judicial jurisdiction, and confused the concept of legal precedent with legislated law.

I'd say I've got three up on you, at the least.

Dude, Goreans are not covered under hate crime legislation, don't belittle real issue with your fake bullshit lifestyle.

Exactly, a made up mythology from a set of misogynistic sci-fi novels is not a protected "lifestyle". Good luck with that one.

There are people who live "Gorean" lifestyles in real life and who ID as strongly with it as any other "lifestyle" choice there is.

Just sayin'

You're actually both right. It's not a law, but it is the law. Court decisions are as much part of the law of the land as Acts of Congress, until they are overturned in some fashion.

Terrifying, but smart enough to be classified as a religion somehow.

Well, no, not quite.

Judicial precdent doesn't have to be overturned - it can, essentially, simply be ignored by any court of equal or higher ranking as issued the original ruling. This is rarely done, because it kinda makes the court look bad, but it's not particularly binding.

All bets are off in Louisiana, too.

And the circle goes round and round and round and round and round and round.

I'm way less creeped out by Goreans that I've met in real life than Scientologists I have.

At least submission to actual Gorean lifestylers is voluntary.

It's ok, there hasn't been any really good back and forth lately, and at least you are both entertaining to read.

I'm actually not sure how Scientology counts as a religion... It doesn't really have a 'divine' component per say.

Oh don't get me wrong, if Magnum wants to run around playing master of the universe with some harem, more power to him. It just irks me when some made up bullshit role playing is associated with the real issues of oppression and discrimination. Also, I find the depiction of women in Gor as particularly distasteful.

Whoah, post spam! :D

I dunno. I've never gone for men in uniforms, as a rule. I actually find the tight black suit and white collar much more sexy as a religious garb than looking like you raided an Army Navy Surpluss.
