Deliberate or not, you and others made one assumption. And that assumption is wrong. I politely informed Eggy about this, but he did not feel to compell to correct his post or apologize. No one has insulted you or told lies. You are complaining about nothing, you are refusing to acknowledge the Wiki definitinion of a vanity page and you do not deserve and apology from Eggy, because he has done nothing wrong. Also, this thread is not about YOU! This thread is about the craptastic moderation that goes on around here without rhyme or reason. Stop trying to make this thread about you so it will be closed just like every other thread that questions AnsheChung.com and various affiliates. |

Whether or not a page about Anshe even qualifies as a vanity page is questionable. After all, a page devoted to a leading figure in online communities would be a lot more justifiable than, say, if someone put up a page devoted to me. Someone may very well go to Wikipedia, wanting to know, "Who is this Anshe Chung, anyway?" Exactly that is your misconception. "Tooting my horn" requires that I (or an affiliate) am somehow involve or at least informed. However, this has not been the case. Deliberate or not, you and others made one assumption. And that assumption is wrong. I politely informed Eggy about this, but he did not feel to compell to correct his post or apologize. No one is calling YOU vain, i.e., stuck on yourself, thinking the world revolved around you. No one is saying YOU are that way, but that page about you in the Wikipedia is, by definition, a VANITY PAGE. Meaning about a particular person who is not an important historical, political person... Now if you DO think that you are an important historical or political person, than, yes, the term vain does apply. _____________________
