From: Magnum Serpentine I counted the number of people in here who cheered when they heard that the Lindens had caved in and taken our dwell away. Something must be wrong with my speakers... Magnum... are you a compulsive camper? Is that why you are upset about dwell? Or do you have a location that you placed a crapload of camping chairs?

From: Patrick Playfair The people in the forums are hardly a fair representation of the SL population. And this is exactly the point... there are far more people who are *not* on the forums than are. If everyone who interacted with SL actually logged into the forums once per day to check the boards... the server these forums are hosted on would explode, cascading molten bits all over the horrified techies. It is impossible to guage the opinion of the population of SecondLife by posting on the forums. That's like asking only Florida about an issue that effects the entire United States. Now if LL wanted the true opinion of the active userbase... they could fire off an in-world poll. EVERYONE who logs in would see it.
