any copy/mod/transfer prim will maintain its creator. I have a prim by Pathfinder - and from Philip.

It's possible that the last owner isn't the creator - however, it does mean it was 'unleashed' by that person - wittingly or not.

Likely our friend here was duped into releasing something. It happens. It keeps the real perp online for a bit more (or knowing the way SL justice 'works' -- for quite a while.)

what concerns me is we have 200,000 people in game now. Friday night is becoming a ritualistic crash. When as if predicted by years end there will be a possible million of us. how often will this happen. I shudder to think.

Well was celebrating my B-Day on SL but then i got this crash and wasnt able to log back on... who ever did make that object can just get banned from SL. Day was goin bad already but the party is all i had to look forward to. But thanks to your item, that wont be happening anymore, tyvm.

These things come in waves, I've noticed. I'm not sure why, but that's how it goes.

There are many weapons etc that are modifications of Eric L's initial object. The culprit is not the original creator, but the "owner", which in this cause is this person.

Since LL would not ban him cause he's Canadian, I have a simple solution... Ban Canada.

Simple really. The name gets around some, an influx of people join, and then a month later 90% of the new people leave. That's how most games work these days.

Okay, it's one of two things:

1. Someone found a way to modify creator/ownership information. Seems plausible, at least. Reverse-engineering of the API, possibly? If this is the case, Jew Stein may not have been responsible for the last attack. In fact, it opens up a lot of scary possibilities...

2. Corporate Espionage ZOMG!!!!11!!!1oneone!

Why did SL take the private sims down? Self replicating items can't spread to private islans can they?

From what I heard, someone was giving grid crashing 'freebies' out at one of the sandboxes.
