Noticed this on 1.22.0 and 1.22.1: can't edit HUD objects that are outside of the screen area. When I zoom out to access these objects and click on them, the screen goes back to full size and objects in world are selected instead.

I found that any attempt to edit any object on the HUD results in the in-world object behind it being selected.

1.22.1 ... And I had to deal with about 5 to 10 minutes of this after I teleported to my favorite hangout. (T_T)

Mind you, better frame rate... After the post-TP lag spike that 1.21 had. (>_<;)

Imagine this during in-world night with even the background textures black for a few minutes.

I'm still experiencing the spike, more often and more severe, to point of locking my client for nearly a minute once.

Ugh... No kidding. After I TP in to a crowd I have to just stand there for a minute or so in order to not mow people over. Usually within that minute I usually have to explain to someone that I'm not ticked off... But, my frame rate is too poor to type. (T_T)

/me double checks her Jira and updates it for versions.... (<.<;)

Logging in with 1.22.1 again..(holds breath again..:p)

I teleported over to Southern Cross (a real deal Island - 15K prims) otherwise known as 'Plymouth' in another thread. Lag was shocking..and ten minutes after I returned home to my lag free Island I was still displaying two red lights on my Lag Meter.

Having deleted the Space Navigator software from my HD I tried rezzing a series of cubes on top of each other. After a moment I noticed each were slightly out of line with the next...we (I) still seem to have a problem.

There's no way I would use this RC for building..I couldn't!!

This is not one of LL's better products..looking forward to the next (asap..please!!).

Okay, I have to admit, the whole, "clear is the new gray" does NOT help with rez times. It also makes it very hard to navigate when you can't see the prims and it makes me think that I have some malfunction in my vendors when I click to change images.

Plus, seeing the avatars in black? No, no and no. Bring back the gray. Just bring back the gray.

Perhaps white would be nice for loading avatars? Black looks odd, grey looks ugly, and you can't use a colour because people will start complaining about not being able to choose their favourite.

Also perhaps have textures on prims that have not yet loaded appear as wireframe? You never know it might look good. Then at least you know it is there, can tell instantly that the textures are still loading, and doesn't look ugly grey or blurry.

Have just downloaded 1.22.1 and was hoping the building bug was sorted. Unfortunately it's still broken (since 1.22).
Selecting multiple items/prims no longer shows the position of the last selected in the edit window. This is a serious flaw for any builder.

I don't know why they keep screwing with loading textures.

The original "smoke" loading textures were fine. They let you know something was there without making forests into a maze of intersecting grey rectangles. Then they had the pseudo-wireframe grey and white, then the grey... and now there's clear-for-prims and black-for-avatars.

Given that it can take five or ten minutes for textures to load, "clear" is completely impossible.

What the hell was wrong with smoke?

After checking this out...

OK, black for avatars is OK. I'm not a big fan of it, but it works for me. Though I really think they should let you specify the loading texture you want to use in your preferences.

Clear for unattached prims? I'm not seeing that happening. They're rezzing in as black too.

I can't seem to get used to the black, I didn't really like grey, but black is worse.

Perhaps they should just let us choose what we want to see? We can customize our avatars to the void and beyond, why not our ui/viewer as well?

I would love to be able to change the horrid banlines to a solid texture, and have all loading textures appear as plain clean white instead of other ridiculous things.

They will never be able to make everyone happy, so it may be better to just spend the time adding some customisable options instead.

Textures rez as black for me too. However, I have "seen" textures re-rez as invisible. If it is going to happen, it usually happens after everything has completely rezzed, I TP away and come back almost immediately. I think it's the prims that rezzed last that are most likely to be invisible upon my return.

OK, now that it's evening and my bandwidth's throttled again... black just doesn't cut it. When everything's black it's just as bad as if everything's clear. No, it's worse. If you're going to change the loading texture, go back to "smoke".

I thought I saw that, but I asked someone who was running 1.21 and they described the same thing happening for them.

Edit: OK, you're abslutely right, I found a mall with a bunch of texture "slideshows" and it was really obvious.

You still get them. Black isn't the new Ruth, black is the new Grey.

I just installed it today and I'm getting white avatars and white prims while the textures load slowly. Previous to upgrading I was seeing a lot of gray avatars and prims with the slow textures. I am seeing a massive amount of lag in areas with a lot of textures such as stores and malls and even welcome areas. I also can't select attached prims on my body. Instead of an edit window I get the circle menu as if I clicked on my body. This makes most jewelry almost impossible to remove by clicking on them.

I haven't had that problem, except on HUDs.

What's with all the bogus 'Sim Shutdown' messages the 1.22.1 RC keeps
giving me. Surely not all the dozen or more sims I visit when the client
shuts down with this message are really going down.

And client shutdown after a TP is about 4 to 1, RC0 was 50/50.
