Smart guy with bad taste in girlfriends and food... can't have everything!

His economic polices made a lot of sense, and atleast he jogged to McDonalds and back.

Luckily, the President doesn't seem to have the power to completely take down the nation. How many bad ones in a row have we had now?

Hmmm... presidents can take down the nation in a big way... it just takes a long time.

bad ones in a row... depends on your definition of 'bad'.

No they can't - the proof is that we still have a nation despite the best efforts of every president since Lincoln. Wait. Bad example. The nation sort of split up under his watch for a little while there. Every President since...hmmm...Teddy Roosevelt? The other Roosevelt? The sickly one with the silly cigarette and the blanky over his lap. Eisenhower? Great general, but not much of a president. I've got it! Nixon! No...Kennedy? Whoops. Bay of pigs. OK, Carter (bahahahaaaaa). I'm afraid if I say Reagan, someone will try to hurt me. How about Taft? Nobody has ever heard of him. I think he died in office of gigantic ass syndrome.

Nope. We have a pretty good system. There are enough checks and balances that one bad seed can't really destroy the nation.

That's why we have an apolitical civil service and why we leave running the country to them - that way ordinary people don't get a say in how the country's run, and they can't screw it up.

Can I dress up like Jack Sparrow and act all strung out and googly eyed?

Note to self: If you're around Yummy, act like Depp, but if Carli shows up, start dropping quotes from Raising Arizona.

Edit - Put on battered fedora and leather vest when Lindal shows up.

To get back to that- I'll take all three of them, too! :D

I wonder who I might be in RL, tho....
*confused*

Probably the alt of Noam Chomsky, in a bad mood.

Taft went on to serve in the Supreme court. Which is what he wanted in the first place.

All presidents are a mix of good and bad some a lot more good than bad. SOme a lot more bad then good.

Whell cept maybe Harrison he died 1 month into office. Though that would definitely be bad .. for him anyhow.
