re: pasting Flickr photos:
click on the photo that you want to show. Once it's the only photo you have up (rather than the Photostream thumbnails), right click on that picture. Copy Image Location. In your response to thread, paste Image Location (Ctrl-V) http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3421/3388699460_5a6514c172.jpg?v=0 Put an [ img] and [ /img] (without the spaces) around the url, delete the [ url] tags, AND, delete the ?v=0 from the end of the url. ![]() |

Thanks, Oryx. I knew there had to be a better way to do that.

Very modest house with a couple of mountaintop meditation spots, and a fairy canoe that you can't see in this shot (can't see my squirrel, cardinal, bluebird or sledding slope either, oh well!)
![]() You can see the tippie-top of my head over the rock - I'm sitting on the ground reading: ![]() I also have my very dull buildbox and a little pavilion way high. This was my first home in SL, a free skybox on less than a 512. It had 4 distinct living areas, and I loved it dearly. Fully furnished on less than 117 prims: ![]() I'll see if I can persuade my alt to post pics of where she lives. Alts always have more fun! ![]() |

I normally do go Nimue's route (go to the picture page, click on All Sizes above the picture (at top of picture is Add Note; Send to Group; Add to Set; Blog This; All Sizes . . . etc). Switch to medium, copy and paste the url from: To link to this photo on other websites you can either: 2. Grab the photo's URL) because the way above just gives one size choice. Course there is a way to grab a picture url and then use html code to change size and all that, but that gets into complications. ![]() For this forum medium and "View Image", "copy url in address bar", "paste between img tags", "remove everything after .jpg", "post" are the same size, so second one is quicker. Especially since default all size opens at large. Still, I normally go first route as I like choosing size. _____________________

I live in this...
![]() The TARDIS console at the tp of that central column... ![]() The stations bar and lounge... ![]() Its 5000 prims, takes up a BIG chunk of the Marti region. For an idea of scale that cloistered garden platform is 40 wide, 60 length. I also have this as my holiday home in nassau shores... ![]() The TARDIS console in the second floor of the lighthouse... ![]() _____________________

I live in the fantastically beautiful Cooper River, part of the Silent's Folly development. The main sim is Wando, and the whole is built to mimic the lowlands of the Carolinas. Silent Watts is the mistress landlady and designer, and a wonderful and singularly talented person she is. Stop by and visit the area!

So a friend gave me this full-perms house.
![]() I decided it would look better as a houseBOAT. ![]() A slightly closer picture - that's me lounging on the pink raft: ![]() Here I am on the upper deck. Unfortunately, I never took pictures with it furnished. I took it down to build something else on my land, and I never did take pictures of it furnished. I had a bedroom, a library, and a lounge, and some chairs on deck for hanging out. It was a pretty neat place to live. _____________________

This is the home I built myself on my little 512... I so love the whimsy of SL... and it was very low-prim.
![]() Here's a picture from the front, for scale. ![]() And from the inside. I'm in the living room and you can see the bedroom in the next chamber. ![]() I went through several sets of furniture and never could settle. Here's an early picture of one attempt, taken in a sandbox. I never actually lived in it that close to the ground. ![]() ETA: The gent with me in the last photo is my partner, Storme Oh. _____________________

Here's my humble abode. I built it myself, complete with sliding doors that sometimes have a mind of their own (my neighbor is nice enough to return them to me - LOL). I didn't take any pics of the inside. I've been too busy lately to muck the stalls.
![]() This is my alt's house - a simple 4 room house I built (yay me!). The treehouse in the back yard (overlooking the void ocean) is my wife's favorite spot. ![]() |

Ok, that is a gorgeous place! Nice sim too, used to rez my boats there and head out on the inland sea with them. You can still rez, but you'll probably want to do it in Helvellyn just to the north where Indigo Mertel has her awesome Mediterranean marina. She also talked one of the landowners who was blocking access to the inland sea (between Macclaine and Lane) into cutting back their build enough so people could sail through easily, and got the Lindens to replace the bridge between Helvellyn and Macclaine so it'd be easier to sale through. |

This is the perfect example of those things you can only do in SL or a virtual world. I love it! You have to have all the beautiful yet believeable homes and structures to make the experience familar and comfortable, but then it's also great to have improbable things like these soap bubbles and Immy's cookie jar. SL seems to have the perfect balance between believeable and whimsical and outright surreal to me. |
