Beautiful garden, I love seeing what people do with mainland.

I do not play my avatar as a child.

so I do not have to handle it
also playing as a kid is roleplaying, so I was curious as to how they roleplayed it

my god why do you always need to put a snide remark?

i have pictures of you and me together, as children. i am a baby, you are a 9 year old. hmmmm

Wow, it nearly looks like a real house, very impressive! I have a couple RL houses I am thinking about building in SL if I ever get free time again LOL

Thankoo! The house itself is 30 prims, which I think is pretty good for four rooms. I drew all the textures (though I did photosource a bit of the windows) an stuff. Kinda proud of it. :-)

Mari, I think it's sweet that you kids stick together and look after each other. After all, the children are our future..........

How the little people live

For those of us who are Newb's...see my Flickr photostream. Picture are of my rental with a pool on the roof and also of my 512m lot with skybox (BSD Simple Arch house) and the work platform above it.

you need to include either the full path to the picture (like I did) or a ? at the end to link pages using IMG tags (as I did for the last since it only allows you 4 images per post)

Thanks. Didn't know there was a limit. That and I am familiar with another kind of markup, this is new enough I didn't quite get it from the 'no help at all' help pages. It is fixed now!

Great pics, Jackie. The pool at your rental is very nice. :) That and your other pics make me nostalgic for my first 512 home. I loved that place.

just because someone puts on a child avatar doesn't mean they "play" a child avatar

or did you forget I make kids clothes, shapes, skin, etc?

It has been so peaceful with you ignoring me, please go back to ignoring me.

(No idea why you decided to rear the ugly head of hate again)

how to put in img tags?
04-07-2009 10:35
Marginally off topic...how do you set up img and /img tags? The only way I can do it is to paste in the url and then Preview the post, which exposes the url tag. Then I overtype the url with img. Is there an easier way?

Thank you :)
All it started out to be was a place to get away from all the harsh angles, and someplace to put all those damn plants you get bundled with prefabs and pools and such :p

Sadly, the garden is missing one of its favorite residents.. RIP my blue hummingbird. I loitered too long down on the protected linden road in front of the garden and she followed me down there. Then the Governors auto-return ate her.. hasn't been seen or returned since.

On the message window, click the yellow icon that looks like a mountain and a sun (far left in enhanced mode), that'll give you the first part. Type in your url and click it again and it'll close the tag for you. Done :)

Kinda boring, but this is home to me. It's the platform where I do all my building. I do have a garden on a friends island, but I never go there and will probably take it down soon.

Jackie ... just use the square brackets [ ... ] with img & /img inside.

Thx. My problem is I'm cutting and pasting the http link, not typing it in from scratch so it gets surrounded by "url /url" (of course, with the brackets).

Re: showing pictures. I *think* if you want to display a picture from Flickr you need to go to the photo, then go to show all sizes. At the top of that page you can choose the size you want to display, then underneath it there is a link to "Grab the photo's URL" which will be in the correct format to show an image with the image tags, rather than a link.

But, I am new to Flickr, so I could be wrong.

The difference is this:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/24942448@N04/3416176594/

vs this

for the same image.

I was wondering how that URL got changed! Thank you. Take a look at my post count and you will understand my problems :-) J.

LOL. It has nothing to do with post counts. With the BBCode broken, it isn't easy for anyone to make this forum do what they want.

(Oh, and another tip. If you want the link (a url) to show using image tags, put a ? at the end. It will be a working link for some, but others won't see it.)

if you speak condescendingly to someone i respect and admire, i WILL call you on it. perhaps try proofreading for negative innuendos before posting.

well cutting & pasting shouldn't matter, that's how i did mine also .... if you get url & /url in the square brackets no worries!!! just replace them with img ... /img :)

huh?

oh well, I knew the peace was too good to last

I have no idea to what you are referring nor do I care, because you are obviously putting into my posts what you want to see. (do not even waste your time responding, unless you really feel the need to show the world how you can twist anything to be what you want it to be)

Please do leave me alone, just pretend I do not exist.

As I said, it has been so peaceful, so very peaceful not having someone constantly "calling me out" on something they perceive was negative, or wrong, or (insert any number of reasons) (remember, things are not always how they appear, you make them appear to be what you want them to be) or calling me names like some preschooler.

So, peaceful.

*sigh*
